Elijah and I made it back to my little home. Silence slightly uncomfortable. I could tell that Elijah was still upset, that he wanted to go back. But I kept my grip on his hand tight. Walking in to the house, I released his hand and moved to the fire. Starting the fire and preparing the kettle. When I turned, Elijah was right against me. Lifting his hand to lightly touch my reddened cheek.
"It's okay, it doesn't even hurt." I mutter, grabbing his hand and holding it there. Elijah kept his eyes on my cheek, shaking his head.
"He had no right to raise a hand at you, let alone call you that awful word." I sighed at his anger. His eyebrows furrowed in thought.
"Niklaus had every right to be mad at me, Elijah. Just as you do." Elijah met my eyes, pushing a stray hair behind my ear.
"I'm not mad at you." He whispered, leaning down slowly. "I do want to remove his scent from you though." He whispered lowly, almost like a growl. I smiled as his lips brushed along mine. His hand pushing into my hair, stopping at the back of my neck and bringing me closer. Pressing my lips to his as I took a step closer. I pulled back slightly, smiling at the Noble Original in front of me.
"So how do you plan on removing his scent?" Elijah chuckled, bending down, his hands grabbing my thighs and picking me up. My legs wrapping around his waist with a squeal. My arms wrapping around his neck to hold on.
"I believe some time together will suffice." He growled, his hand moving to my ass and squeezing, before pressing his lips to mine tightly. He moved us to the counter, setting me down gently. I pulled back slightly, looking at him confused. "Bedroom is too far." He muttered, moving his lips to my neck. I tilted my head to the side, giving him more access as he moved his hand along my body. Massaging my hips, as he pulled my hips to his.
"Elijah-" I mumble, causing him to pull away from me slightly.
"Is something wrong?" He asked, concern evident on his face. I shook my head, a smile stretching across my face as I cupped his cheeks.
"I just-" I took a deep breath, "I love you." Elijah stared at me, shock written all over his face.
"You could hear when you were unconscious." He put together. Nodding, I sucked my bottom lip in between my teeth. The stress of him not saying it back hitting me.
"You don't- I-" I pushed him away some, sliding off the counter. "Sorry-uh. This was a bad idea." I stammered. Elijah grabbed me before I could get too far from him, yanking me back into his body.
"You didn't mean it?" He asked. His eyebrows furrowed in confusion. Emotions bouncing around his eyes.
"No-I did mean it."
"Did? Past tense?" Panic running through my mind.
"No-I-do. I do. I-" I noticed the smile spreading onto Elijah's face, amusement crinkling in his eyes. "You're messing with me." I sigh, relaxing into him. Elijah let out a chuckle, wrapping his arms around me.
"I love you, Revna." He whispered, pressing a soft kiss to my hair. I pulled back from him slightly.
"Really?"
"Really."
