Waking up to the sun in your face has to be top ten in the list of daily irritants. Paradise had a habit of being overly bright for no reason. I hated being pulled here without my consent.

"Welcome back, my queen," Alessandra greeted. Something cold around my wrist alerted me to the sinister tone in her voice.

"What the hell are you doing?" I yelled seeing the shackles around my wrist. Another Enchanter worked quickly to chain my feet to the wooden chair I was sitting on.

"You been disobedient since I pulled you into Paradise. Minding business that doesn't pay you. Now you know too much.

"I don't know what you're talking about!"

She knelt down and slapped me. My face changed, the veins under my eyes coming to the surface

"Do it again and see what I do," I snarled. She laughed. Like hands on her knees bent over laughed. "You're fucking crazy. I thought you were going to help me."

"You're ruining all my plans, Cecelia," she sang, "Now history will repeat itself."

She took a white powder from the satchel on her waist and blew it in my face. I mind went blank before everything turned black.

Enchanters have walked the Earth for thousands of years. First magic bound by natural elements emerged. They were thought to be a heaven sent. Though they lived among mortals they were seen as Goddesses. They worked behind the scenes to make sure the world stayed perfectly balanced. They were never challenged, only praised.

Until a new type of magic was born.

Magic that took away the free will of the mortals and spirit witches. Early records called the Siren's song and they were thought to come from unknown mystical creatures of the sea. It harnessed magic from something as simple as sound. This magic was feared, thought to be dark.

Well at least the Nature Enchanters believe it was evil. It wasn't natural for the mind to be altered. They didn't think magic could be influenced by song.

And because of this they felt threatened.

As more and more Music Enchanters emerged the mortals lost their faith in Nature Enchanters. They used the song to keep healthy, as medicine was only thought to come from the earth. Still the Natural Enchanters made sure everything was balanced but that's all they did.

I let out an ear piercing scream as I woke, feeling a burning pain in my chest that went through my entire body. I panted as I looked at my new surroundings. Still chained to the chair but in a metal box like room. Bars separate each containment like a jail cell.

"Shhh," I heard from my side. "If she hears you're awake she will come down here."

I stared at her face. She was pale with long brown hair and bright sea blue eyes. "Who are you?

She tilted her head, "My name is Julianne. You are the Chosen One." She wasnt chained to anything and was able to move around freely.

"Tamia's Julianne?" I remembered. Alessandra was supposed to take me to her for training.

"Ah yes young Mia. Is she well? She asked looking off into space.

"Is she- where the hell are we?" I yelled in a whispered.

"Under Paradise. Your chains are to dampen your magic," she explained, "Tamia and the other Music Enchanters are most likely looking for you."

"I don't understand what's happening? Why are you down here?"
