Kol blurred into the house on a hunt for his brother. When he found him he pinned him to the wall by his throat.

"What did you say to her?" He growled loudly.

Before any hits could be thrown Rebekah pulled them apart.

"Stop it," she hissed. "What's wrong, Kol?"

"She left!" Kol exclaimed as he raked a hand through his hair. "He did something."

"Maybe she left by her digression," Klaus snarked.

"You don't understand! You all have never understood!" Kol shouted.

He didn't understand the pull he felt toward Cecelia. Only that, for once, he didn't feel like the odd one out of his family. She made him feel seen outside the others. That was enough for him.

"She will return home brother," Klaus assured, "give her time."

And so he did. He waited and waited but as the days turned to weeks he began to lose the small spark of hope he refused to admit he had. He spent his days listening to his siblings go back and forth with the supernatural residents of Mystic Fall. He was lonely.

He could feel her in the back of his mind like a second consciousness. Her emotions were stronger on some days but usually, he could only feel her exhaustion.

Cecelia struggled and there was no other way to put it. She didn't want to admit she missed Kol but the Enchanters could sense it. She moped around Paradise with a permanent frown.

To distract herself she excelled in her training. If she wasn't in the library reading she was in the woods practicing her nature magic. And she did it well. In two weeks she had already mastered water and earth.

"I can teach you fire," Alessandra offered as Cecelia read her book. They lay together in the grass like normal.

The young hybrid shook her head, "I want to learn that last. From what I'm seeing fire is tied to our emotions and I'm still working to control mine." Because the emotions of a vampire are heightened she had a difficult time getting a grasp on them. On top of the fact that she could feel the emotions of four Original vampires.

"Good afternoon, Cecelia," Morgan greeted as she unfolded her blanket on an empty spot between the two.

"Hi, Morgan," Cecelia greeted quietly still not paying attention to anything other than her book.

Her curiosity getting the best of her, Morgan looked over the witch's shoulder to get a glimpse.

"Mating?" She said, surprised. It was normal for Cecelia to ignore the topic altogether.

"You both are distracting me," Cecelia snapped, growing irritated. "I'm just reading a book."

"Did you not come here to get away from the mate bond?"

Without a word, Cecelia slammed her book shut and walked away from them. She didn't want to talk about mating to anyone in Paradise. The others were okay with letting the bond form. She didn't want that. She didn't like the idea of some higher power tying her to someone she barely knew.

But it's Kol

I barely know him

You let him have sex with you

She sighed as she walked along the river bank. Her inner enchanter was okay with letting the bond grow with Kol. Her magic weirdly gravitated toward him.

"You know having a mate isn't all that bad," someone said from the trees.

Though not surprised at the presence, Cecelia still jumped at the sound. A body flew down and landed to her right.
