IT WAS the next morning, and the newly engaged couple were abruptly woken up from their sleep due to the loud knocking at the door. Carson's face scrunched up in distaste and he slowly lifted up his head while forcing his eyes to stay open in the process. He never really was much of a morning person. As he tried to sit up, he became aware of the fact that Wanda was still out cold laying on his chest, their legs intertwined under the sheets.

"If no one opens this damn door in the next two seconds, then I'm coming in and waking you both up myself." Natasha's voice was heard from outside.

Carson took a moment to look down at Wanda, not realising the smile that grew on his face as he ran his fingers through her hair subconsciously.

"Right, two seconds is up." Natasha spoke up once more.

His head instantly snapped towards the door. "Shit, shit, Nat wait!"

Carson threw his arm out to the side quickly and made his powers surround the handle of the door so Natasha couldn't get in, along with pulling the sheets further over him and Wanda just in case.

"Just give me a minute." He told the blonde and carefully slipped from Wanda's grip. Once he was free, he gently set Wanda back down and pulled the covers back over her, letting out a soft chuckle as she snuggled against the pillow thinking it was him.

Carson picked up his clothes from the floor and threw them on before making his way over to the door, opening it and stepping outside.

"Finally." Natasha huffed. "It's 10am, you should've been up over an hour ago."

Carson scratched the back of his head. "Sorry, we were... tired."

"Oh I bet you were. I had the pleasure of being in the room next to yours." Sam quipped has he walked past. "The walls aren't soundproof, you know!" He shouted over his shoulder as he turned around the corner.

Natasha's face scrunched as she looked back at Carson. "I really didn't need that information this early in the morning. Or ever for that matter."

Carson laughed quietly. "Sorry about that."

"Well on the plus side, I'm guessing that means you two made up?" She asked.

"Oh they made up alright." Sam's head popped out from around the corner, the man wiggled his eyebrows at them both.

Natasha groaned. "Oh my god. Sam I swear—"

Sam and Carson both laughed and the older man quickly darted from his spot and disappeared once again once he saw the death stare Natasha was giving him. "Alright, alright, I'm going!"

Carson looked back at Natasha and nodded. "But to answer your question, yes we made up. We're good now, really good actually."

He smiled to himself as he thought back to last night. Natasha tilted her head curiously as she noticed him deep in thought, taking note of the huge smile plastered onto his face. She decided to brush it off as she figured he was glad that he and Wanda had talked it out. But she was yet to know what happened the night before.

Now, of course they wanted to tell the others about what happened, that they were now engaged. But it wasn't exactly the right time.

Y'know, Considering there was a purple titan running around wanting to wreak havoc upon the universe. No biggie.

So for now, the couple mutually decided that they would keep it quiet. There would be plenty of time to celebrate it later. With everyone back home and safe.

Natasha smiled at his answer. "Good. I'm glad you two worked things out. I didn't want to have to come in and force you to make up myself. Because you know I would've. You two can both be very stubborn sometimes."
