CARSON'S EYES began to flutter open and he let out a groan as he came around, lifting his hand up towards his forehead and wiping away the blood that he could feel dripping down.

He took a deep breath and moved to sit upright only to be pushed back down by a pair of hands. His brows came together in confusion and he looked up, seeing Tony crouching down next to him with nothing but panic written all over his face.

"Tony, oh thank god." Carson breathed out. He shuffled backwards towards a pile of rubble and leant his back against it.

"Whoa, whoa, stay put buddy." Tony told him. "Just keep still for me, okay? Your leg..."

He looked down at his leg, only to find that a large piece of sharp metal had been jabbed into the side of his thigh. Carson huffed and leant forwards, holding onto the strip of metal.

"Wait, wait, wait." Tony stopped him. "You're just gonna take it out? Just like that?"

"Well I can't just leave it in there, can I?" Carson shrugged. "Besides, I'll heal it's fine."

After taking a deep breath, Carson tugged the strip of metal from out his leg, gritting his teeth in order to muffle his pained yell. He tossed the metal to the side and once he noticed his healing starting to kick in, he tilted his head back against the pile of rubble and let out a sigh.

"You alright?" Tony checked.

"Yeah... I'm good, I'm good." Carson nodded. "Where are the others?"

Tony got to his feet and offered his hand to help Carson up. "You'll see."

Once Carson was on his feet Tony lead him outside where they joined Steve and Thor on a ledge who were already looking down below them, watching something with narrowed eyes.

"What's going on—" Carson froze when he noticed what the others were looking at, his blood practically boiling at the sight.

Thanos.

The titan was sat on the ground below them perched on a pile of rubble with his weapons neatly laid out beside him, a cocky grin spread across his face as he looked up at them.

"What's he been doing?" Tony questioned.

"Absolutely nothing." Thor replied.

Carson looked around. "No sign of the stones?"

Tony shook his head. "No, they're somewhere under all this. All I know is he doesn't have 'em."

"So we keep it that way." Steve spoke.

"You know it's a trap, right?" Thor gestured towards Thanos.

"Oh, I know." Carson muttered. "But I don't care."

Thor nodded. "Good. Just as long as we're all in agreement."

The gods eyes started to glow their classic electric blue and he held out both of his arms, calling Mjölnir and Stormbreaker into his hands. As the two weapons started to fly over, a bolt of lightning struck him and transformed him into his armour.

Carson rolled his neck and shook out his arms in preparation, a small smirk tugging at the corner of his lips as he felt his eyes start to heat up, along with his powers pooling at his hands.

He looked around at them all. "Let's kill him properly this time, yeah?"

Thanos watched from his spot as the four Avengers started to advance towards him. He hummed at the sight and leant forwards, resting his arm on his knee.
