OKAY I HAD A RANDOM THOUGHT AND I PUT TOGETHER THE SENTENCE "nothing puts out the flames of retribution" AT LIKE THREE AM LAST NIGHT SO HERE-
This is out of context so if anyone wants to write a part one to this it'd be great 💃

It was dead silent in Windrise. The horrific thought of the fiery hero's death ran through everyone's heads. Expressionless faces all surrounded the spot where Diluc disappeared, Jean and you were restraining Kaeya back from running behind the grand tree to see if his brother was alive. Fifteen seconds later and your first tear rolled down the left side of your face.
The world stopped spinning, nothing was audible, not even Kaeya's agonizing pleas to let him go—

...
...
......
........
—until a spark ignited a leaf on the tree.
Life flooded back into you.
More and more sparks climbed up the old tree as it quickly caught fire- until the entire tree was engulfed in powerful red flames.
A blurry figure appeared from behind the statue of the seven. A bloodied Dark knight hero strided straight out of the rain of ash, raised his claymore, and unleashed a legendary yell. The great roar echoed through the valley, bringing life back to it once more- leaving everyone in it shook to the core. A burning phoenix flew far above the sky and dissolved with a fierce cry.
Kaeya broke free and ran to his brother, you ran to Diluc too- soon to be followed by everyone else- knights or not. Happy tears were shed as everyone gathered around him under the red sky.

(It's such a pretty tree but it'd be so badass of Diluc emerged from the burning ashes of hell, followed by wind rise's signature tree on fire and decaying in the background- then his damn phoenix drapes a cape of red over the clouds and it looks AWESOME- JAJFJDKSKS IMAGINE HIM LETTING OUT A WAR CRY AFTER BURNING DOWN ONE OF THE NATIONS BEAUTIES HAHAHAH!!) I'm bad a writing this out, but I had a good idea atleast😀💁
