Jace's POV
"Clary stay with her while we talk ok?" Magnus asks her "Yeah, of course I will." She says and I kiss my daughter's forehead and rub my wife's shoulder. We go out of the room and close the door.
"Magnus what the hell just happened to Adley?" I ask him in panic.
"I don't know Jace, maybe she overworked herself. Adley has been training non stop and she's been through a lot lately. Even worse she's been hiding her true feelings with everything going on, which makes more pressure on her. Adley works hard but sometimes her body pushes her back and she chooses not to listen to it." Magnus informs us and he's exactly right.
"Yeah, that sounds like her. So what do we do?" I ask him "Don't let her do anything. She's been putting herself through too much. Let her rest, she needs it and she's earned it." Just as he says that Adley slowly wakes up.
"Hey, honey are you ok?" Clary asks her and we help her sit up. "I think so but what happened?" Adley asks us
"You've overworked yourself little bug. We know it's for distraction but you also need to remember to take time for yourself. Drink this" Magnus informs her and gives her some medicine. Adley drinks it and after she takes a lighter and easier breath. I think it helped her. We hear the door open and Josh comes running in.
"Is she ok?" Josh asks and notices that she's awake and sits beside her. "Are you..."
"I think so" She tells him
"Honey, you uh, you said Caspian's name when you were passing out. Why?" I ask her as I remember that.
"He was, this is going to sounds weird but he was... asking for me." Adley slowly says and we all look at Magnus.
"Did it look like he was in the room or did you just hear his voice?" Magnus asks her "I just heard it, why?" Magnus opens his eyes wide.
"That's impossible, we all, we all saw him, die. Unless..." I figure out, accidentally out loud.
"You think he's alive?" Adley asks and we all look at each other. "That's, what, no, he can't be." She stutters, is he alive?
Caspian's POV
Octavius and I realize the plan worked with getting Adley's attention and he smiles at me proudly.
"So, now she and her family know that you're alive. Now you need to kill them, her first. Got it?" Octavius reminds me
"Understood, I'll make you proud Octavius. I promise you that this time. I will do much better." I tell him and he puts his hand on my shoulder and pats it.
"Good man" He says and I just stand there with my hands behind my back. I can do this, I can give my loyalty back to him stronger. I can do this
Surprise! Caspian is alive! Of course I wasn't going to kill him off forever. He makes Adley happy and we all love seeing Adley happy don't we? ❤️
