Adley's POV
I need to talk to Caspian right now. I go down to the cells and I see uncle Alec down there. He notices me and comes up to me and I see Caspian in the cell room."Adley, what are you doing here?" Uncle Alec asks me
"Please uncle Alec, just let me talk to him." I beg him
"No, he's dangerous Adley" Uncle Alec says
"If he's so dangerous, why did he save me than?" I ask him and he sighs because he knows I'm right. "Fine but only for a bit and I'll be right in there with you in case he tries anything to hurt you." Uncle Alec informs me and we both go in and Caspian is chained to the bed from his ankle.
"Adley, what are you doing here?" Caspian asks me
"I wanted to thank you, for saving me but I also wanted to ask you why." I reply and he sighs and looks at uncle Alec saying that he wants him to leave but uncle Alec crosses his arms.
"Oh no, I'm not leaving her alone with you." Uncle Alec tells him and I shrug at Caspian.
"Fine, it's you, you are always saving people and being the hero. You never did anything wrong, just got in with the wrong crowd. So you didn't deserve having being threatened to have your runes taken off. It's not right" Caspian admits
"Than why hurt her in the process by making her think that you were dead? She was in hell with that Caspian." Uncle Alec steps in and I put my hand on his shoulder to relax him and look back at Caspian.
"That wasn't my plan, it was Octavius' plan. I begged him not to hurt you but he threatened to kill me." Caspian admits and uncle Alec and I look at each other confused. "I never stopped loving you or caring about you Adley."
"Than if you truly loved me you would've fought harder Caspian." I tell him and myself. I realize that I won't get much out of him with uncle Alec in here.
"Uncle Alec, I can take it from here." I say to him while looking at him. "But Adley he..." I give him a stern look before he finishes.
"Alright fine, don't you dare hurt her." Uncle Alec warns him and goes out and when I look out the glass wall dad's there too and uncle Alec goes beside him. I turn back to Caspian and he looks at me.
"Seems like your family doesn't trust me anymore. I can't blame them but can I please get it back?" Caspian asks me
"You're going to have to try a lot harder than please. Caspian I let you in my family, I welcomed you in myself. Even my best friend didn't trust you." I remind him
"Look, I made a mistake. I should've never hurt you. Adley, you were my first love too. I've actually never loved anyone until I met you. You were the one person who didn't look at me as a mistake or as a monster. You looked at me like I was some sort of angel. You have to believe me Adley." Caspian begs me
"How, when trusts gets broken to me it stays broken because it's hard for me to trust people a second time. Especially when I gave you all my trust and faith. I stood up for you from my family who told me to ignore you and push you away because they didn't trust you." I mention to him
"So are you saying that you regret trusting me?" Caspian catches me and I don't know what to say.
Jace's POV
"How is she doing?" I ask Alec "She's Adley, so she's trying to keep her focus." Alec tells me and I look at my daughter and she looks really hurt while looking at Caspian.
