Adley's POV
I cannot believe Caspian went through all that at such a young age. I wonder how many nightmares he gets because of it? He doesn't deserve that, no one does. As I look at Caspian while he's sleeping on my chest I play with his hair.
"I'll do my best to keep you safe and happy. I promise" I whisper to him and kiss his forehead gently. As I look at him I hear a knock at the door. I slowly get up and Caspian still sleeps. When I open the door it's uncle Alec.
"Oh sorry, am I interrupting something?" He asks me "Caspian is just sleeping" I tell him and motion to talk out the room and I close the door.
"Did he talk to you?" Uncle Alec asks me "Yeah he did, how did you know that?" I ask him
"He asked for advice on how to talk to you about his problems. I told him that you're the best listener there is and he took my advise well clearly. So is everything ok now?" Uncle Alec catches me up.
"Well thank you for helping him. Yeah, I think everything's fine now. Let's just say I know more about him now." I say to him and he smiles at me.
"Good, I'm glad everything worked out for you two. I'll leave you two alone then." Uncle Alec surprisingly says
"Did you say you'll leave us alone? Who are you and what have you done with my uncle Alec?" I joke with him
"Yes well, you're 16 now and these things will happen in your life sooner than later. I should just accept that now. Except good luck with your dad for that. I don't think he will ever accept it." Uncle Alec shockingly says and I also agree with that.
"Thank you, I really appreciate you for trusting me with that. You really don't think you can convince my dad to do the same?" I ask him
"He trusts you and I trust you. We just don't trust the guy. We should just know that things will be happening as you get older. Speaking of which, I'll let you get back to him." Uncle Alec leaves with and I smile at him as he walks away. When I walk back in the room Caspian is up.
"What were you doing?" He asks me "Talking to my uncle Alec. He has actually told me that he accepts you being in my life the way you are in it." I tell him and he looks relieved and I get back on the bed next to him, he pulls me into a hug on his chest and I put my hand on his arm.
"Well that's something, did a demon take over his body to make him say things he hates saying?" Caspian jokes and I laugh which makes him smile.
"Trust me, he said that." I assure him and he looks at me shocked. "Wow, guess I finally got through the barrier." He realizes and kisses me and I kiss him back.
