Adley's POV
As I'm training to get my mind off things and kicking the punching bag I feel a tap on my shoulder. I stop and turn around and it's grandma."Grandma! It's so good to see you. Oh, sorry I'm all sweaty." I apologize when we're about to hug but she hugs me anyways.
"No worries Adley, it's so good to see you too. I see your kicks are getting better. Working hard?" She asks me
"A lot has been going on, so I've been using training to distract me." I explain to her
"I heard about Caspian, how's that going now that it's been a week since he was cleared?" Grandma wonders
"We haven't talked yet because I don't know what to say." I admit to her
"Maybe try starting off the conversation with, 'Hi', and see where that goes." She advises me and that might work.
"I'll try that and let you know if it works." I tell her "Awesome"
"Mom!" Uncle Alec says as we see him and everyone else coming.
"Is everyone free for today?" Grandma asks us as she hugs everyone.
"Yeah" We all say and she lights up with so much excitement.
"Perfect! I want all of us to go to dinner together. It's been a while, bring all the grandkids too and Caspian. I would love to finally meet him. Is that ok with you Adley?" Grandma surprises me with that question. I need to talk to him at some point.
"Yeah, I'm ok with that." I tell her "Are you sure honey? If you're not ready you don't have to?" Dad asks me "We need to talk anyways." I mention and we see Caspian coming.
"Is that him?" Grandma asks us "Yes, it is" I answer "He's really handsome Adley" Really grandma and she walks up to him which catches him off guard.
"Hi, I'm Maryse Lightwood, Adley's grandma. You must be Caspian" She introduces herself and they shake hands and quickly stop.
"Yes, hi it's nice to finally meet you." Caspian says and we all just look down.
"Would you like to join us for a family day and night out?" Grandma asks him "Umm" Caspian freezes "You need to talk to her at some point." She tries to quietly say that but it's pretty clear. "Alright, yeah sure I'll join." He accepts and I kind of wish he said no.
"Alright, Adley shower and get changed and than we'll be out on our way for family time. That feels so good to say." Grandma says with so much joy. I do exactly what she told me and fast and come back wearing a dark purple, skin tight dress. When I walk out back to everyone they all also changed into fancier clothes. Mom, aunt Izzy, and grandma in dresses and the boys in fancy shirts. Scarlett, Abner and Brea join us as well.
As we walk into the restaurant it gets awkward because Caspian and I can't even look at each other. Grandma is sitting beside uncle Alec and I and she lightly nudges my arm.
"You have to say something to him Adley." Grandma pushes me and I know she's right but what. I'll try what grandma suggested to start with. I look up at him and he notices me.
"Hi" I start with awkwardly "Hey" Caspian says back and I got nothing so I just look at my menu.
"Adley" Grandma gives me a look to say more but I seriously have nothing. Except this
