Chapter 10: Riders on the Storm

At the train station Liv and Mason are looking for Corey. Mason says, "Corey? Corey. How many rooms does this place have?" Liv says, "You mean beyond the 57 we've already searched? Probably enough for all of Beacon Hills." Mason pants and says, "We're never gonna find him." Liv says, "You can't give up hope. We have to just keep looking." The voice on the annoucements says, "Attention, all passengers. The train will be arriving in 19 minutes." Mason says, "Okay, we're running out of time." Liv says, "Mason. You always know where he is." Mason says, "Yeah, except for right now." Liv says, "But you find him eventually. Just clear your mind and focus." The voice on the announcements says, "Attention, all passengers. The train will be arriving in 19 minutes." Mason says, "It's him." They listen to the voice on the announcement say, "The train will be arriving in 17 minutes." Liv says, "I had a feeling that voice sounded familiar. I can't believe that's Corey." Mason says, "Yeah, I mean, I know everything about him. I know his smile; I know his touch... and I know that's his voice. It has to come from somewhere." Liv hears the Ghost Riders and says, "Mason. We have to go." Mason says, "Just give me a minute, I can find it..." Liv says, "We don't have a minute. They're coming." Everyone in the train station is screaming and running away. Liv puts an arm in front of Mason to protect him. They see Liam get off the horse and Liv smiles and says, "Liam?" Liam smiles and grabs Liv's face to kiss her. They both smile into the kiss. They pull away and Liv says, "When did you learn how to ride a horse?" Liam says, "Just now." Liv and Mason softly laugh. Then they hear Corey say, "Attention, all passengers. The train will be arriving in nine minutes." They follow the wires on the ceiling to get to where Corey is. They find him connected to a bunch of wires and he says, "Attention, all passengers. The train will be arriving in eight minutes." Mason goes to unplug Corey, but Corey grunts in pain. Mason says, "Okay, we need to unplug him. We need to just get him out of this thing." Liv says, "I'll start with the big one. I'll pull it quickly. It'll hurt, but Corey can heal, and I can help him with healing himself." Liam stops Liv from pulling a cord out of Corey and he says, "We can't. Not until Scott diverts the train. If we stop the merging, Scott won't be able to find the diverter." Mason says, "You wanna just leave him like this? We have to give Scott more time." Mason says, "Look at him. We... we need to do something." Corey says, "Not yet..." Mason holds Corey's hand and Corey continues, "You have to try to save everyone." Mason sadly says, "How do we save you?" Liam and Liv hear Scott and Liam says, "Now!" Liv and Mason start pulling wires off of Corey and Corey is screaming in pain. Then, the Wild Hunt leaves Beacon Hills forever.

The next day, Liv, Liam, and Mason are standing near Stiles's Jeep with Scott. Stiles says, "Okay! So, Liam, since you're the new Alpha..." Liam says, "I'm not an Alpha." Stiles says, "Right, but, you know, Alpha-in-training." Liam says, "Well, I'd have to kill an Alpha." Liv elbows Liam and the ribs and says, "No, not necessarily." Stiles says, "Liam. Since you're taking over, the most important thing you can remember is that Liv and Mason are always gonna be the ones who are gonna save your ass all the time." Scott says, "Well, not all the time." Liv says, "Most of the time though." Stiles says, "Which is why..." Stiles brings out his trusty metal baseball bat and continues, "I think you're gonna need this." Mason has his arms around both Liv and Liam and says, "Uh, I don't play baseball." Liv says, "Neither does he." Stiles nods and says, "Right, it's... it's not the point." Mason takes one arm off Liam and says, "Okay. Thanks." Stiles says, "Here you go." Stiles says, "Love you guys." Liv shakes her head with a smile and says, "I'll see you at home." Stiles winks at Liv and says, "Yep." Liv walks away with Mason and Liam with a smile.
