Chapter 11: Said the Spider to the Fly

So, after the Ghost Riders left. Lydia, Malia, Stiles, Scott took a year off before going their separate ways. After two years of dating, Liv and Liam have called it quits on their relationship. Liv initiated the breakup, before the summer of senior year, because they both will be going their separate ways. During the two years Liv hasn't cut her hair since she dyed it black. Since senior year is coming up, she dyed it blonde during summer. Now, Liv's in her lacrosse uniform practicing lacrosse. Scott has been the assistant coach for a year and now it's his last day. Scott blows his whistle and two of Liv's teammates bump into each other and Liv steals the ball. Scott says, "Hey! Nice work, Liv. Nolan, you stay in there. You can take her." Liv runs and dodges her the other players and scores a goal. Liv smiles and her teammates cheer for her. Scott smiles and says, "Nice work. That's the best shot of pre-season." Liv smiles at Scott and says, "Thanks, Coach." Scott smiles at Liv and then she runs away, and Coach comes and says, "Assistant Coach. What exactly are you doing?" Scott says, "Drills." Coach says, "You're giving them hope. When did I ever give you hope?" Scott says, "Never." Coach says, "Exactly. Nothing motivates more than withering criticism. Speaking of, um, losers, where's your, uh, where's your little protege?" Scott looks for Liam and says, "Um..." Coach says, "Um? Is... Is "um" a location? Is "um" behind me?" Scott says, "He'll be here. Okay? He's the backbone of this team. He's stepped it up in every way possible. A born leader who can handle anything that you throw at him." Meanwhile in the locker room with Liam, Mason, and Corey. Liam's face down on the bench and says, "I can't handle this." Mason says, "Yes, you can. And you've handled so much worse than this. You're practically the Alpha now." Liam sadly says, "I'm nothing without her." Corey says, "Liam, can you help me with this, please?" Mason says, "Liv's still in your life, okay? You guys are still friends. Liv will always be there for you." Corey says, "Why is your arm so heavy?" Mason gets a text from Scott and Mason says, "Okay, Scott says Coach is losing it." Liam says, "Scott's also leaving." Mason says, "Going to college is not leaving, okay? It's called growing up. And we're all gonna be going to different colleges eventually. Isn't that the main reason Liv, broke up with you?" Liam nods and says, "Yeah." Corey then says, "I thought we were both applying to UCLA." Liam looks at Corey and Mason and says, "What, you guys are going to the same college?" Mason says, "That is not the point." Liam says, "What is the point?" Mason and Corey grab Liam to drag him out the locker room. Mason says, "The point is that summer's almost over, we're about to be seniors, this is about to be the best year of our entire lives, and you're still Co-Captain of the lacrosse team. So come on. We got to..." They all fall down from going through the door at the same time. Mason got a text from Scott and Mason says, "Coach is making Diaz Co- Captain." Later, Liv watches Diaz doge his players and throws the ball into the goal, but not before Liam catches it. Coach says, "Now, that's how you play lacrosse, McCall! Who is that kid? He's spectacular." Scott says, "That's just Liam." Coach says, "Well, how the hell am I supposed to tell them apart? They're all wearing the same thing." Scott says, "They've got numbers on their jerseys, Coach." Liam then gets flipped and Liv and Scott can hear Liam growling. Scott blows his whistle and runs to Liam with Liv next him. Scott says, "Liam, your eyes." Scott cover Liam's eyes so no one can see them. Coach says, "McCall, what the hell was that? That wasn't a foul. That's called winning." Everyone then turns to see a wolf out on the field. The wolf has blood on its fur and starts growling at them. The wolf walks forward and Scott says, "Everyone back. Nolan. Nolan, hey, step back, man. Are you okay? What are you doing?" Scott then glows his red eyes at the wolf and the wolf stands down and walks away. Scott looks at Liv and Liam and they both nod. They follow after the wolf. Liam says, "You think it's a, a wolf-wolf or..." Liv says, "I think it's just a wolf." They find the wolf dead with spiders coming out of his eyes and mouth. Liam says, "Guys..." Then they see a bunch of other dead wolves.
