Chapter 13

Malik stared in his bathroom mirror as he searched for something. Something to say to Denari. Something to make her feel safe and to make her know that he loves her and only her. He had to tell her and make her his and treat her like the queen she was. She's been through so much and she didn't have anyone to turn to until now.

Meanwhile, Denari and the girls were getting ready to have breakfast at this new restaurant that just opened up the week before. "Okay, so Denari, we need to do something about you like now" Laila said. "What do you mean?" Denari asked. "Denari admit it. You're in a dark place and the only way to come out is stop feeling sorry for yourself. You love him don't you?" Tiara said.

"Love who?" Denari asked. "Stop the shit Denari. You love Malik and you're just too afraid to admit it to yourself" Tiara said. "Look, we-" she was cut off by Jazmine. "Denari, stop. Look at you. You are in love with the guy. The way you look at him, they way you act around him, it's obvious that you're head over heels about him. You need to get your ass up and tell him how you feel" Jazmine said. Denari knew they were all right and they were just being good friends. She needed to tell him how she felt.

"Okay, I'm going to call him up and tell him okay?" she said before she pulled out her phone and dialed his number. "Hello?" she said. "Hey" he answered. "Look, we need to talk like urgently" she said and Malik felt a bit nervous. "Okay sure, when do you want to meet up?" he asked. "Now" she blurted out. "Okay, where are you?" he asked. "I'm at the new restaurant that just opened up which is the one closest to Deshaun's place" she said.

"Aite, I'm on my way" he said before she hung up. Both of them were nervous as hell and the girls could see it. "Denari, calm down okay? It's going to okay. Here have some water" Laila said as she tried to calm down Denari. "Thanks guys I'm just so nervous" she said. "We know, we've all been there hun" Tiara said. "Plus, everyone can see that he's in love with you" Jazmine smirked. "I guess I should tell you guys that we slept together" Denari said shyly.

"You what? Oh my gosh! When were we gonna find out? Girl that's amazing!" Laila and Tiara squealed. "I know but after what Jayden said yesterday, it really hurt me and I just thought that we couldn't be together" she said. "Forget about what you dumb ass brother said. It's about how you and Malik feel about eachother" Jazmine said. Before Jazmine could continue, Malik suddenly appeared from out of his car.

"Malik" she smiled as he approached her. "What's wrong?" he asked. "I just wanted to tell you how much I am in love with you" she said. "I knew it from the first time I met you and with everything that's happened I just thought that I-" she was cut off by Malik kissing her lips. The girls cheered in the background as they continued kissing. "You don't have to say anything. I know already okay?" he said before he kissed her again.

"I'm so glad that you two are finally together" Laila smiled. "We were just waiting for you two to share a kiss" Tiara smiled. "Wait till your parents hear about this" Jazmine said. "They will be so happy trust me" Denari laughed. "Anyways, I have an appointment to make and Jayden is picking me up in a sec" Jazmine said. "Jaz, who's that girl staring you down?" Laila asked as the all looked in the direction of the girl. "That's Taylor" Malik said. "Do you know her?" Denari asked Malik. "Yeah, she's Jayden's ex but she was around before you came which was couple years back now" he said.

"Well, I don't like the way she looking at Jaz" Denari said. "She's not important" Tiara said. All of a sudden, Taylor walked up the group. "Hey Malik, long time no see" she said trying to get close to him. Denari felt the jealousy creeping up in her and she had to act quickly. "Babe, can you help me with this please?" Denari asked as she came in between them. The rest of the girls felt the tension between them as Taylor gave Denari a bad eye.

"So, how is Jayden?" she asked and right on time Jayden's car pulled up. Taylor's eyes lit up when she saw Jayden stepping out of his car. "Hey babe, you ready?" he asked approaching Jazmine. "Jayden" Taylor called. "Taylor" he said dryly. "How have you been?" she asked. "Good" he said flatly. "Maybe you and the guys could go out for drinks later?" she asked.

"I don't think that will be happening hun" Jazmine said. "I'm sorry do you have a problem?" Taylor asked. "Yes I do. You are talking to my man like you don't see me here" Jazmine argued. "Well believe it or not, he was my man first" she said. "Okay, you need to leave" Denari said finding the courage to stand up to her. "Excuse me?" Taylor scoffed. "Did I stutter? It's obvious that he doesn't want to talk to you and you're making everyone uncomfortable" she said.

"Well listen her sweetie, this isn't about you okay? So why don't you go over there and keep staring into the mirror and fantasize about your ego" Taylor said with a fake smile. "Bitch, you need to get the fuck out my face" Denari said calmly. "Excuse me? It's not you tryna be tough" Taylor laughed. "Well enjoy your teeth because at this rate you will be missing a few" Denari said as Taylor quickly stopped laughing.

"You know what, I got no time for dumb bitches like y'all" Taylor scoffed. "You sure you don't wanna include yourself too cause you seem super dumb to me" Tiara said. Taylor was about to turn around but she decided that she wouldn't. She was going to deal with this evenly. "Wow, I never knew that side of you" Jazmine said to Denari. "I know, she just rubbed me the wrong way and then she disrespected Jazmine. And you better not be thinking about meeting up with her to tonight cause she a crazy bitch but not as crazy as this bitch right in front of you" Denari said to Malik as the girls snickered.

"So y'all together now?" Jayden asked. He wasn't upset and honestly, he was happy that Malik was the one who had her. "Yes" Denari said. "Great" Jayden smiled. "You're smiling" Denari said surprised. "I'm happy. Don't break her heart bro. You my nigga and all but I'mma fuck you up if you break her heart" Jayden said. "You ain't gotta worry about that" he said as he smiled at Denari.

"Well, we'll see you love birds later cause we need to go" Jazmine said. "I'm gonna drop Tiara home so later guys" Laila said before they hugged eachother and went their separate ways.
