Surprise flickered in his eyes, when they landed on mine. I nervously gulped as I looked down at a little girl called Annie-Beth.

"Belle are you going to be with us?" She sweetly asked.

I smiled and nodded in response.

"Yes! Hey guys Belle is gonna be with us!" She yelled to her friends. I smiled as they started to cheer and run towards me. Reacting quickly, I hugged them all.

"Axel! Axel!" Annie-Beth suddenly yelled jumping up and down.

Axel looked over at her. "Yes, Ann?" He asked.

"Are you gonna be with us too?!" She asked eagerly.

Axel then looked up at me. I looked away not wanting to look inside his eyes though it was adorable how nice he was being. "Yes, Ann. Now go line up, we're gonna be leaving in a minute." Axel commanded as he looked back at Ann.

I maintained my eyes on Ann as I noticed Axel was walking towards me, in either to stand beside me. Kierra then gave us a roster and a pencil. Afterwards, we walked outside and got on the bus. I stood by the door and counted the six kids that I was in charge of as they went in.

Once I finished, I sat beside the window and to my surprise Axel sat beside me. "I've never seen you here." He said looking at me.

I looked over at him,"I only help out when I can."

He nodded. "Same."

"Didn't you just move here?" I asked.

He shook his head. "No, I was home schooled."

Not holding back anymore I looked up and our eyes instantly met. Immediately, I regretted it. I began to feel like I was melting, his eyes were boring inside mine as if they where retrieving all of my secrets. It felt like I was being torn into million of pieces, but as I looked back inside his eyes all I could see was a darkness filled of pure pain and sorrow.

No matter what, I couldn't find myself to stop looking. Suddenly, I was filled with all of his sorrow and grief that he was holding. I wanted to cry for him, I was drowning and I couldn't see what or why he had so much sadness, but it was devouring me. "Axel." I whispered. He closed his eyes and the feeling was gone.

I gasped and looked down. In that instant, I had never felt so empty. The second he had looked away, it felt like all of my feeling had been ripped out of me. I just wanted to ball up and cry but I remembered where I was and realized we had arrived. Axel then rapidly got up avoiding my eyes, leaving me there alone with the emptiness.

I sat there staring at the ground clutching my stomach, the feeling still lingered but I was mostly confused. "Belle?" I heard Anna-Beth's voice. I looked up at Ann. "Yes, Beth?" I asked.

"Shouldn't we go?" She softly asked. I looked up above her and saw only us where remaining in the bus. I gave her a fake smile and quickly nodded as I got up. I took her hand and we both walked off the bus.

While we walked, I saw Axel but he quickly looked away. What had just happened? Sighing, I looked up at the mountain, we weren't going to hike today, we were just visiting the museum.

The field trip went by quickly. We were only there for about an hour, since there was school tomorrow. As we where waiting for the second group to finish up, my phone rang. It was my best friend Cristian.

"Hey tinker bell." I heard Cristian's voice.

I smiled, finding some comfort in his voice. "Hey." I answered.

"Where are you." He asked. "At the Kennesaw Mountain Museum." I said.

"Why?" He asked.

"Helping out the church with a field trip." I answered.
