The apartment looked pretty normal. We walked to Axel's room and I saw that his bed was made.
"It looks like he didn't spend the night here." Becky whispered.
I didn't leave my eyes from his bed. Terror was every where in my body. Everyone started to leave but my feet where somehow glued to the floor. I was full of fear, Axel didn't spend the night here, it sent horrid images in my head. Like he could have been kidnapped by the fallen angels. Or the fallen angels might have harmed him and dragged him to another place. Or he could have been ran over. "Tinker Belle, we have to go." I heard Cristian say. I left the bed and looked at Cristian. He stood in front of me and wiped a tear that I hadn't known existed.
Instantly I turned around hiding myself from him. But he then placed his hand on my shoulder, comforting me with a soft squeeze. "It'll be alright." he whispered.
"Just give me a second. I'll meet you out there."
"Belle."
"Please Cristian. I just need a moment." I whispered, still not looking at him.
"Okay." He simply said as he left.
As soon as he left I dropped down to the floor. The pain I was holding back began surging through my body. I gasped for air as I found myself choking for air. I then realized I was having a panic attack.
Calm down! Calm down! Calm down! Breath! I can't breath!
I continued gasping for air and then a moment later the feeling of eternity finally ended and I ended up just sobbing. How did my feelings go from pain to anxiety?
Taking in a deep breath I wiped my face and weakly stood up. Axel, kept repeating in my head.
Shaking my head I forced myself to walk out towards the car. I avoided making eye contact as I got in the car. Thankfully, they didn't ask why I took so long.
After a few minutes we arrived at my house. Everyone then quickly got off the car and where already inside when I was barely closing the door behind a few minutes later.
When we had gotten off the car Clare had stayed behind with me. At first I thought it was because she had never been in my house before. But I then could see sorrow and terror in her eyes. With a quick movement I hugged her and let her cry on my shoulder. "He'll be fine. I promise." I said. She cried even harder and I felt bad, feeling like I had said the wrong thing. She finally calmed down and I brought her inside. Everyone was sitting in the couch with my mom in front of them. By her face I could tell they had already told her.
I took a seat beside Cristian and let Claire sit on his other side. My mom kept looking down at Clare, as if asking, who was she? I just sighed. Everyone was still and silent. We were all staring at Era waiting for a response. But she just stared at the floor. After a while she finally spoke up. "We need to contact your parents." Era said looking at Becky and Cristian. They nodded as a response.
It took a while but soon their parents where here, including Axel's uncle, in who I have never met. He kept glancing at me, but never saying anything. I just stopped wondering what he wanted to know and concentrated on what Becky's mom, Glara, was saying.
"I knew it, they where gonna attack any moment and I told you Era to be more cautious!" Glara argued. She knew it? I thought.
"There's no point in arguing. We all knew. The attacks were constant, causing us to focus on that and forgetting the protection of our children." Cristian's father, Andrew, said, defending my mom.
"He's right but that's not the point. The fallen attacked your kids last night and kidnapped my nephew. We have to stop arguing and start rescuing him." Axel's uncle said, . Becky nodded and I just stood silent.
