Secrecy

Chapter 20:

I sucked in my breath as I sat up, my heart beating fast.

I got shot. . . . . .

Axel carried me to the car. . . . .

Everything turned dark. . . .

I woke up here. . .

in my room. .

I looked around my room with bewildered eyes. Kyle and Lucy where sleeping on a chair against the wall. I wondered how long have they been there but I decided not to wake them up. Instead I looked outside and saw it was a cloudy day. I then sniffed and realized I smelled awful so I forced myself off the bed and went to the closet to change into new clothes. I then walked down the stairs slowly towards the kitchen where I heard voices.

Correct I was, everyone was there eating together yet staying to themselves. By everyone I meant Axel, Tyler, Becky, Era, and Cristian. The voices I must've heard were from Tyler and Era, because he was looking at her.

"Hey everyone." I forced myself to say then cringed a bit at my raspy voice, anyone could tell I hadn't talked to anybody in a long time.

Era turned and looked at me, her eyes brightened but tears appeared. Axel smiled and hugged me before Cristian and Tyler could move. I softly smiled and hugged Axel tightly. He pulled away and smiled back. "I'm gonna go call Grant, he's been asking about you for days now." Axel said as he left. Days? I silently asked myself.

Cristian then came to me and twirled me around. It took a lot of willpower to not refrain from their hugs. I honestly didn't want to be hugged right now, i just wanted to be curled up in my room under my sheets, just hiding from the world. But nevertheless I forced a small laugh and hugged him when he put me down. A second later he pulled back, letting Becky hug me. She hugged me tightly and let go to look at me. "Gosh Belle. We were so worried that you were never gonna wake up." She said with tears in her eyes.

I hugged her again. "But I did, so no more worrying okay." I said.

She nodded and went back to her seat. Era then came up to me and hugged me so tightly, she didn't cry against my shoulder like I thought she would've instead she kissed my cheek and smiled brightly.

She then let go and Tyler hugged me. I remembered his promise and it suddenly made me feel a bit better so I smiled against his shoulder as I hugged him back. Tyler smiled and pulled away. "I'm glad to have you back." he said taking a few steps back. I smiled and nodded as I watched Axel came back to me to hug me again. I laughed and hugged him back. There was a knock, interrupting our hug. I smiled and sat down as Becky went to open the door. I was pretty tired so I leaned a bit on the wall.

"Pretty Belle!" I heard. I smiled and looked up at Grant. He pulled me up to stand and hugged me tightly. I chuckled and hugged him back. "Pretty Belle, oh my goodness you don't know how worried sick I was about you. I missed your smile so much." he said. I nodded, feeling a bit awkward since everyone was here. He let go and looked at Cristian but didn't say anything and looked back at me. "Pretty Belle are you okay?" Grant asked.

I nodded as a response. "Yes, I'm just a little tired." I said truthfully.

"Oh, tinker bell, we better take you back upstairs so you can rest." Cristian said.

I shook my head. "No, it's fine. I want to stay here with you all." I said. They smiled and nodded.

"Well, I guess you're hungry." Era said. I smiled and nodded as I watched her hand me a sandwich. I thanked her and immediately started to eat. I felt their eyes on me, but lord, was I hungry.
