After Cristian left I sat on my bed staring at my phone's contact of Joel. Then with shaky fingers I called him. But it rang and rang and rang. He wasn't going to answer.

I immediately called him again but no such luck. After one more failed attempt I threw my phone to the side. "Why don't you answer?" I asked out loud then realized tears were rolling down my cheeks. Instantly I wiped my face. I wasn't going to cry over this, I had to grow up.

But I just felt so hopeless, so lost. Why was he leaving me alone on this?

Shaking my head I curled up in my sheets and thought of the darkness. I knew Joel, he wouldn't have meant to harm me, but why the blood? Why did he freak me out with my hands dripping with blood? Was it meant to mean something? I thought about it and it somehow clicked.

The blood could mean the aftermath of everything or of what's going to result in standing by Axel. But why if Axel wasn't the enemy here or was he? I shook my head and decided to sleep on it.

The next day I laid in my bed just staring up at the ceiling. My phone then began ringing beside me. "Hello?" I asked.

"Hey it's me Grant."

"Hey Grant is everything okay?"

"Yeah. I'm outside so come out I want to take you out." He said.

I frowned and sat up. "I don't feel well though."

"That's why you should."

I let out a soft sigh. "Okay I'll be out in a moment." I answered then hanged up. After quickly changing into black jeans and a grey long sleeve shirt, I walked outside towards Grant's car. "Hey." I said as I got in.

"Hey, where should we go?" He asked as he shifted to driving mode.

I looked over at him. "Wait before we go anymore. What made you come...here?" I softly asked as I studied him.

He met my eye. "Here to this town?"

I narrowed my eyes. "No to me."

He looked away and shrugged. "Axel was worried about you so he made me take you out to cheer you up." He answered.

"Why didn't he come?" I then proceeded to ask.

"What you don't want me here?"

My eyes widened in guiltiness. "No not like that. I love your company.... I'm just wondering why he didn't come himself instead of making you come here."

"He's busy." He bluntly said as he focused on the street.

"Oh." I simply said then looked back at Grant. "So where we off to in this rainy day?" I asked trying to make up for what I had said.

"To the movies."

"Wow Grant you're taking me out on a date?" I sarcastically gasped.

He simply chuckled. "As if anyone would want to."

I chuckled and shook my head. "You piece of shit." I jokingly said as I punched him on the shoulder.

"Ow Belle. That actually hurt!" He exclaimed.

Immediately my hands flew over to his shoulder. "Oh my god really? I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to." I frantically apologized.

He laughed. "I'm just kidding with you."

I now sat in the car waiting for Grant who was outside making a phone call. Throughout the movies I had felt better thanks to him being such a kind and funny human being, but I still couldn't help but feel like before. So lost.
