(stills memories)
Five years ago
"Belles, I have to go work." She said. I nodded. "Okay mom have a good day." I said hugging her. She smiled and kissed my forehead before turning around and leaving. "Be a good girl belles!" She said as she closed the door.
I smiled as I watched her leave by the window. I went back to the kitchen and resumed making a peanut butter sandwich for my dad who was working in his room. I finished and silently walked upstairs to his room. I entered and saw him sitting in his table writing something. "Dad I made you a sandwich." I sweetly said. He looked at me and by the look in his face I knew something was wrong. "Dad are you okay?" I asked. He smiled and nodded. "Yes belle I'm just a little worried." He said hugging me. I frowned but smiled and nodded.
I left and went downstairs to watch a movie. During the movie I ended up falling asleep.
I woke up with my dad pacing around the room. I sat up and kept watching him. He had tears in his eyes, his face was red and he looked really anxious. "Dad what happened?" I quickly asked. He stopped as in finally realizing that I was here. I watched him walk over to me. He sat beside me and took my hand. He smiled. "Nothing sweetie I'm just waiting for an important call, that's all." He said, looking down at me with a soft smile. I nodded, just in time for his phone to ring. He jumped up and took his phone out his pocket.
"Linda?" He asked in a worried voice. But then his face that was full of eagerness was now full of sorrow. "Okay, I'll see you soon then, thank you." He ended. "Were you talking to mom?" I asked. He looked at me and I realized he was crying. He gently shook his head. I frowned but then I got the message. "Belle, your mom went to go help out the others nephilims in the head quarters because the fallen had attacked then." he gulped and stopped. He had started to cry harder.
My eyes widened, my breath was somehow stuck in my throat. I couldn't breathe. It's just a dream, I thought to myself. "Belle there's a good chance your mom is still alive." He then said. I simply nodded. "Your auntie is gonna be here in any second." He said bringing me back to earth. I nodded and felt him hug me. I realized I had started to cry, so I cried in his shoulder hugging him tightly.
A while later there was a knock. My dad pulled away and we went over to the door. He opened it and in came my moms sister, Les. She had red, puffy eyes and her hair was a mess. She looked at me then hugged me tightly. I pulled away and took her to the living room and sat her on the couch. My dad brought her a cup of hot chocolate and sat in front of her. "Have they called you?" She asked taking a sip of the drink. "Yes." he answered.
"Gary did they tell you any news about Linda?" Les asked sounding more anxious. My dad shook his head.
There was another knock on the door. My dad got up and went to get it while I stayed with my aunt. She smiled down at me and stroked my cheek.
"Les, your brother is here." My dad said as he entered the room. My aunt looked up and smiled at her brother, Luis. But soon her smile faded. "They found her body, Les and Gary." He said as he gulped and looked down. "Linda is dead." He said, but his voice broke. I started to cry as I ran to my dad. He took me in as I heard aunt Les start to cry and sob out loud. My dad just held me tightly, his face full of shock but a moment later I felt his tears on my cheeks. I didn't care I needed him as much as he needed me. I pulled away and looked at my aunt. She was hugging her older brother. "No!" She cried, "No!"
Her screams echoed through my mind as my soul began fading away. The memory leaving me alone in the dark. A feeling of pain suddenly overpowered me. I cried out as I fell down on my knees the darkness was surrounding me, denying me the ability to be free of these horrible pain.
Sorrow, heartache, despair, and anger were running throughout me making me sob uncontrollably. The memory of the last time I saw my mom flickered through my mind.
I gulped and looked down at my hands. "Oh my god." I gasped in terror. My hands were dripping of blood, staining even more the clothes I had on. I cried in horror as I brought up my hands to see if it was really true what I was seeing.
It was.
It really was and never had I ever felt so terrified. I suddenly let out a scream of horror as I then frantically began trying to get away but all of the sudden I couldn't move and it just made me panic even more.
"Let me go." I sobbed as I tried to move but it was as if something invisible was holding me to the ground. "Let me go!" I screamed.
I suddenly heard someone running towards me through the dark making me stop dead in me tracks. My heard began to pound as they neared. I screamed and moved back but immediately someone cupped my face gently. "Belles, you're stronger then you know. Please be careful around him." said a familiar voice.
I looked up at her, it was my mom. Her blue eyes where looking at me with full attentiveness then she looked back at the direction where I had heard the running coming from. She gulped and gave me a quick hug. "I love you baby. Please stay safe don't forget what I said to you." She said then disappeared in front of me.
I just sat there shocked at what I had just seen. But I then snapped back when I heard someone walking near me. You're stronger then you know, repeated through my mind.
"Wake up." I whispered to myself. But nothing happened.
"Do you know where you are?" Someone asked me in the shadows.
I stopped struggling.
"Isn't this what you feel when you see Axel?" The voice continued.
He was right. I took in my surroundings and suddenly realized it was. It was the same emotions, but now made into an actual place, just like the one from my nightmare the other night. But I didn't say anything. His voice, I knew who it belonged to.
"You're going to get hurt if you keep following him and no one wants that, but Belle when you get back I want you to train your power. It's the only thing that's been keeping you alive. But you're weak and now more then ever you need to know how to use it."
I frowned and looked up. "Joel?"
He smiled in the dark. "It's time for you to wake up, don't miss me too much."
