Lily's POV

May 15th

You would think a month would pass by quickly, with all the school and the responsibilities, you'd think it would fly by.

Well, I was wrong.

It's been a little over a month since I left Washington and Rea. It felt like an eternity. My bed is cold and no amount of facetime can make up for seeing her in person. The smell of her is faint on the sweatshirt, and it's probably my fault since I hug it like a pillow every night to sleep with, but you can't blame me.

"Earth to Lily, I need your opinion,"

I'm snapped back into reality, literally, when Ann is snapping her fingers in my face.

I rub my eyes, "sorry, what are we doing."

Ann groans, throwing up her hands. "I have an event for my fashion program! I have to wear a piece I made, and I don't know which one to wear. So, help."

"Okay, okay," I huff, "let's go."

She smiles, "okay sweet. Now I have narrowed it down to these two options," she gestures to a rack, which I didn't realize was there, that has two long dress bags hanging from it. She picks one up, "okay, so I'm going to try them on to help you, so I'll be right back. Don't fall asleep."

I give her a thumbs up before cracking my knuckles, sitting up to make me more awake.

About five minutes later Ann comes out in a long green gown. The neckline is straight across and the sleeves are puffy but in a nice way. The length is complemented by a slit going from the mid thigh all the way down. It's really pretty, and that shade of green compliments her greatly.

"Soo..." she asks, spinning to show the full dress.

"I love it,'' I say, "you did really well with that one. It's simple but not too simple, it's classy."

"Perfect! Ugh okay, thank you. Now I must try on the other one."

She lifts the bottom of the dress off the ground, taking the other bag and turning to exit to change again. It takes her less time to change into this one, and when she comes out she's spinning immediately.
The bottom of the dress is this nice silk black fabric, it's flowy and does a nice turn. The top half is a sleeveless v-neck and it's covered in black glitter. This one feels less classy but it's still gorgeous and fits her perfectly.

Before I can give feedback she pauses and gasps, "wait! Look!" she puts her hand in pockets and smiles big at me, "I made pockets!"

"That's amazing," I smile. "Very handy."

"I know right. Okay now, which is better,"

I clap my hands together, thinking. "Well, this one is gorgeous and has more pull to the eye, plus pockets. But I think the other one is better for this event. I think it shows how you can make an unflattering and boring straight neckline look really good, plus it looks classier than this one."

She twists back and forth, watching the fabric swing with her. "You're right, this one isn't right for the event."

"I might steal it from you though,"
