Maya's POV:

"Dad, when is it going to bake," sulks Orion, staring at the oven as he sits on the ground.

"Yeah Xavy, when is it going to bake? We've been here for like an hour," I say.

"You've only been sitting for 10 minutes," He says, flicking the soapy dishwater at me.

"Ewww," I state.

"It's just water," laughs Xavy.

"It's not just water Xavy, it's dirty dishwater with food chunks in it!" I state, shuddering at the thought of the water.

I haaaate whenever I see mamma doing the dishes because she sometimes makes me dry them off, and when I do I see gross food particles. Ugh, so yucky.

Bella, and Bob soon come rushing to me, wanting to lick me and I let them. They're so cute.

Xavier then cleans his hands before ruffling the hair in my head.

I then look over to Orion who has stood up, and walked over to the chair, taking a seat as he looks at Xavy with annoyed eyes.

"Orion, what's your issue?" Asks Xavy playfully.

"Nothing," he pouts, a hint of jealousy heard in his tone.

"Orion," he repeats.

"Nothing, just waiting until the cupcakes bake," he lies, crossing his arms and turning his nose to the air.

He's such a jealous baby. But he's my friend, so I stand up and go over to him. I then climb on the chair next to him and ruffle his hair.

"Don't want you feeling left out," I smile.

"Thanks," he huffs, but I could see a small smile creep on his face.

I then hear the oven timer go off, so I jump off the chair and run over to the oven. I almost slip but Xavy's got my back so he catches me, placing me upright.

"What did I tell you about running in the house mija?"

"I know, I'm sorry! I just can't wait to eat those cupcakes!" I squeal in excitement.

Xavier then uses an oven glove, and takes the tray of cupcakes out. Some were red velvet, lemon, vanilla, and chocolate. They looked so good! Yum!

We first let them cool off for like 2.5 seconds before Orion's, and mine's impatience gets the better of us.
Our hands goes for a cupcake, but Xavier gives us a look that makes us freeze.

Scary.

"You have to wait before icing them first. Also call the others because we are all decorating the cupcakes together," he says.

"Sorry," we both say in unison before running up the stairs to call the other kids.

Jack, Thomas, and Hazel were in the living room playing with beyblades, while Asher, Charles and Margot were practicing their reading. I wasn't sure where the rest of them were, so I go to look for them.

"Rico, we're making cupcakes downstairs," I tell him in excitement.

"Cupcakes?"

"Yeah, cupcakes!"

"What's that?" He asks.

He doesn't know what cupcakes are?

"Yeah cupcakes. You've never made any before?"

He shakes his head, a seemingly look of embarrassment setting across his face.

"I'm sorry," he says sadly, fiddling with his thumbs.
