Xavier's POV:

My head pounded as soon as I awoke. What the fuck did I do last night? I remember getting into a fight, but everything after that is fuzzy.

I then feel a warm body pressed against mine.

Nova.

Last night then comes rushing back.

Her soft curls brush against my chest, before turning herself around to face me. She was still sleeping however, her long dark eyelashes on display.

"Nova," I say in a hush tone. "Nova."

"Hmm," she hums.

"Your alarm is going off," I whisper.

"Okay," she says quietly.

Her eyes soon open, and a soft smile forms on her lips. Damn, she is so fuckin beautiful my mind can't even comprehend it.

"I'm going to take a shower. Can you check up on Maya please," she says groggily.

"Of course mama," I smile, getting up from her bed and putting on my shirt from last night.

She nods, but then closes her eyes again, wrapping herself tightly with the blanket. I was going to try to wake her up again, but decided not to since she seemed extremely tired.

I then head over to Maya's room. Knocking on the door before I enter. She was soundly asleep as well.

"Mija it's time for breakfast."

Maya yawns slightly before rubbing her small hands against her eyes.

"What time is it?" She asks.

"6:30," I say.

"Where's mamma?" She asks.

"Sleeping."

"Then I still get to sleep."

"Mama said you need to wake up," I mention.

"But she's not awake, so how did she tell you?"

"She was awake then went to sleep," I chuckle.

"So I'm gonna do the same," says Maya, before closing her eyes and throwing the blanket over her head.

I quietly laugh to myself, but nevertheless continue to let Maya sleep.

Now what was I gonna do? I had no assignment I needed to do, so my schedule today was empty.

I leave Maya's room, and walk into the kitchen. There were dishes everywhere, so I rolled up my sleeves, put in my AirPods from out of my pocket, and went to work.

"She said she just wanna party, uh, she fuck with bosses. Boy, just watch how you be talkin', you know lil' bro gon' spark it, hey."

Many songs go by until I'm finished with the dishes. I then wash my hands, and grab the broom from her closet to sweep the floors.

"Since you been gone!" I sing

I can breathe for the first time.

"I'm so moving on, yeah, yeah!"

Thanks too you. Now I get what I want.

"Since you been gone!"

The concert I was having is fun, but my mind kept on telling me to check on Nova. She seemed warmer than usual, and her voice sounded different.
