-- Lily's POV --

"Merlin! Why do I always have to be so late for everything? Ughhhh!" I grumbled as I rummaged around the room trying to find my Transfiguration books. "You know what." I said jumping over my bed to Emma's and grabbing  a pen and parchment. Took your transfiguration n.b - Lily. I quickly managed to scribble down before grabbing her book and running down the stairs.

I burst into the library and looked around frantically, until I realized James wasn't here yet. I sighed in frustration as the door slammed shut behind me. "You have got to be kidding me, Potter." I murmured to myself as I stalked my way to a free seat.

I plopped down on the seat. A second later, I hear the old door screech as it was flung open. And who else to spring out from behind it in a frenzy, but James himself. I turned and stood,  as I crossed my arms over my chest, raised a very accusing eyebrow, and stared at him, annoyance written all over my face.

He just stood there like his stupid self for a second before raising his hands in defense and saying without the slightest bit of shame, "Hey! I have a Quidditch team to coach, ok! Everyone's going to blame me if we lose the match on Sunday, which is two days from now by the way."

I dropped my eyebrow as I quipped back at him, "Well, you also have a girl to tutor. And I for one am going to be blaming you if I fail my exams in transfiguration."  I mimicked his voice perfectly. He just bit his lip for a second searching for a retort, until he just shoved me out of the way, and fell on the sofa. "Well I'm here now so let's get started before you get me in trouble."

We laughed it off, opened our books, and he started to teach.

It was kind of late. For about the first 45 minutes James and I really tried to learn, but we just ended up laughing and joking around. I let James catch his breath as I smiled and leaned back on the sofa, "Just how did I agree to get tutored by such an idiot like you?" James sagged on the couch as he calmed down to reply. "Well you really didn't have a choice... or know at the time."

I started to playfully hit him, as he scooted away from me laughing. "How did you even become head boy?" I said genuinely wondering how. "If I recall correctly," He started, "You told me that Dumbledore was probably drunk  when he sent the letters, so... You know at the station, just saying."  He tried so hard to sound innocent, and not laugh at the same time.

I glared in fake anger as I punched him slightly on the arm. "Shut up Potter." He lazed on the sofa, as did I. "Oh so we're back to Potter now?  Well there goes that. It took me six years for me to get you to call me by my name, no wonder you need to be tutored."
