-- Severus's POV --

" Owww!" I gulped deeply, as I heard Lily groan again. She was scouring books, in the aisle next to where I was sitting, and I was finding it really hard to study as she kept limping and groanig thank's to her leg.

I forced my head away from looking at her, and them bit my lip, and forced myself out of my chair. I went and stood next to her, taking her hands from the shelfs, over my shoulder, and took her weight. I felt her stop breathing for a second. and then whisper. "Severus. I'm - I'm fine." she tried pulling her hand away. I held her tight and without looking sternly replied. "No you're not."

I felt her breathing slowly settle as i tokk her to the seat next to mine, and let her down on the chair. She looked really tiered, and worn out. "What book were you looking for?" I asked her as I finished skimming my eyes over her body, and settled for her face.

"It's the potions book by Praglius Smithen. I need to copy some skills from it." She said as she looked at the books lying at the place I was sitting in.

I went to shelf behind her, and pulled the book out. I went and placed it in front of her silently. She looked from the book back at me. Sh raised one of her eyebrows in a curious manner. I stood there for a second untill I finally realised why she was so shocked.

"I had just finished using it, and placed it there." I explained how I knew exactly where the book was. "Right. I supoose I could've asked for your help earlier then." I smiled as she looked up at me from her legs.

She started moving her foot uncomfortably." How's your foot?" I asked as I pushed my chair back and sat down facing her. "It's not great. It got better, and then I pushed it and now it throbs like hell." Her voice sounded pained.

I bit down on my tounge as I felt my heart slowly rip apart to hear her in pain. "It'll get better, try to stay off of it untill madam Pomfrey says it ok." I tried to sound reassuring, but I knew how stupid I sounded. I looked at the wall clock, and realised half an hour of dinner was already over. I still had to go have some. I suppose Lily had to also, as she was in the library for atleast the last twenty minutes before I decided to help her.

"Shall I help you to the Great Hall?" She looked at me confused for a second and then figured i was offering to take her for dinner. "I'm really tired. I should just go to my room, i'll find something to eat there." She sounded like she waould just black out any second. "Are you sure." I placed a hand on the side of her chair, so close to her hand, mine grazed hers.

I tried not to react to much, and just said, "I can take you to the hospitol wing, if it hurts realy badly."  It'll br fine." She said as she lifted her hand of the chair as it grazed mine again, and tried to get up. As soon as she put a little weight on her foot, she grimaced.

I stood up immedietly, and supported her. I quickly dumped everything into my bag, still holding her with one hand. I pulled the bag over one shoulder, and slowly slipped to her other side, and supported her, fixing my bag.

I saw her bag slumping on the side of one of the aislr. I leaned over, trying not to push to much of her weight off of me, and pulled it over my bag.

I stopped in front of the steps to the Gryffindor common room. "How are we doing thi - " I cut Lily off, as I used my free hand to take out my wand and point it at her.

"Wingardium leviosa." I let her levitate slightly above the ground, so that it wasn't to awkward for the people around her.

I walked next to her as I concentrated on getting her over the first few steps without raising her too high, or bringing her too low, so that her foot touched the step.
