chapter 2

When we arrive to the brick school, Dessie and I do our normal check.

 " Does my beanie look okay?" I ask

 " yep, skirts good,shirt is fine and make up looks great" she says carefully examining my apperance.

" Back at ya" I say as we get out. We then lock arms and walk in.

When we walked in everyone swarmed around us. I look at her and laugh as they all gawk over us. As we make it through the crowd Dessie's boyfriend was there waiting at the end.

" Hey Chase" I say with a big smile

" Hey Kat, um, mind if I steal her from you?" He ask with nervousness

"As long as she is back for classes" I say with a stern look

 "Will do" He says pulling her away as fast as possible.

I had to go to the front office to get my schedule before I could do anything else. As I walk in I see a tall boy with blonde hair that stood up in the front adding a few inches to his actual height. As the door slams closed all admistrative eyes looked at me . The boy slowly turns around revealing his face. His eyes were blue.... and so captivating.

"Hi" I say almost barely audiable causing him to smile.  

" Can I get my schedule please" I ask as I approach the womans desk.

 "Ah yes!! what's your name dear?" she asks sweetly

" Kat summers" 

"And you boy" she asks as she ruffles through mounds of papers

" Lucas hemmings, but everyone calls me luke" he says 

 " here ..you.. go" she says passing us papers.

As I walk out I look over  my classes. As I turn down a hall  I feel a hand touch my shoulder. I turn around to see the boy from the front office.

 " Yes?" I ask with a smile

"Hey, can you help me get to class?" he asks looking at the ground in embarassment

" Of course!! let me see your schedule" I ask. He passes me the papers and I automatically scan it . I see we have all but 5th period together. 

" So we have all but fifth together so follow me" I say as I passhim his paper back. As we walk people in the hallway people waved and hugged me saying hi.

 " You're popular aren't you?" he sighs

" Nope! I just talk to everyone" I say with a laugh.

Our first period was gym, I made him sit in front of me so I could help him. I lean up to him and whisper in his ear

" hey.... if you stick with me Mr.Roberts will be putty in your hands"

"You're popular and a teachers pet? Pretty impressive" he says laughing

" Yep and its gotten me pretty far in school" I say giggling.

Our second was science. Being the great kid I am I talked the teacher into letting Luke sit next to me.

 " I'm guessing you worked your magic" he says smiling

" well do you like it or not" I ask laughing

" thank you Kat, I would feel misplaced back there" he says smiling

" yea,  I used to know the feeling." I say.
