chapter 9

When I got home I ran upstairs and I got into the shower before Luke could because he takes forever. When I come out I see Luke laying on my bed.

"Hello gorgeous" I say

"Hey, Ashton and his girlfriend are coming over if you dont mind" 

"Nope" I say.

Not even ten minutes later I hear someone walk through my front door

"Honey, I'm home" I hear Ashton say. 

I walk Down the stairs to see Ashton sitting on the couch with a short, curly haired blonde snuggled next to him. They looked so cute!

 "Hey bud,who's this? " I say pointing to the girl.

"This is my girlfriend Jasmin " he says

"Oh, hello Jasmin I'm Kat" I say walking over to shakeher hand.

" hi" she says. she has an accent that I find really interesting.

" where are you from?" I ask her

" oh, New Jersey" she says

" that's cool! Well Its really nice to meet you" I say.

As I sit on the futon I scream" Luke come down here" .

 Within seconds he is in the living room. As he sits he pulls me onto his lap

"Hello, it's nice of you to join us" I say smiling

"Yes it is, I see you have met Jas" he says brushing his fingers across my collar bone.

"Yes and I have a feeling we are gonna be close friends" I say placing my forehead on his.

 " You're beautiful" he says

"Not as handsome as you" I reply as he lightly kisses me I hear Ashton cough.

"If I can't kiss my girlfriend you can't kiss your's luke" he says

"No one was stopping you ash" I say. After awhile Ashton and Jas had to leave. She gave me her phone number so we could getting know each other more so it won't be so awkward next time.

As I walk up the stairs my phone goes off showing Dessie's name

"Hello love" I say. I can hear her crying.

"What happened? " I ask running back down stairs

"Please come over" she says

"K... be there in 5" I say. Luke follows me to the car.

"We are going to Dessie house" I say driving to her house.

When I got there I kicked my shoes off and ran upstairs.As I get close to her door I hear a deep voice say

"Do what I say and you will be okay" 

Then I hear Dessie cry and say no. As I burst into her room I see Chase.I see he has her pinned to the floor. I walk over to.him and pick him up.

" she said no" I say as I draw my fist back and hit him in the jaw.

" Is that all you got little girl" he says standing in a fighting position

" There is more where that came from" I say kicking him in the gut. I hear him lose his breathe.Before I could kick again my phone rings. 

"Hello, I'm sorry I can't talk I'm trying to give this guy what he truly deserves" I say

"Yea, call me back when you can" I hear a voice say

" Dylan? ???? As in Dylan O'Brien as in Lily's boyfriend? " I say

"Yup" he says. As I go to say something, Chase knocks me down

" your gonna pay for that" I say hanging up my phone and standing back up

" Luke... take Dessie home, I'll be there soon" I say pushing Chase to make him lose balance. Luke does as I say as I kick chase in his side. Then I jump on him and pound his face in. As I punch I hear His nose crack and I see his face already swelling,then I notice him not moving. I stop and get up.

As I drag him down stairs while my knuckles feel as if they were on fire. As I pull him out the door I throw him in the grass. I grab Dessie's keys and head to her car.

When I pulled up I see my car and an unfamiliar car. As I walk inside I see a dark haired blonde. As he turns around I see his bright green eyes.

"Hey Chris" I say

"Hey K " he says as he looks at my hands

"What did you do? Please Kat don't tell me you got into another fight" he says pulling my hands to his face. 

"Yea I did but for a good reason" I say raking my hands back and heading to the kitchen sink. As I wash my knuckles I can feel Luke and Chris watching me. When I finished I dried them off. As I look at them I see the big open wounds and where my hands were gushing. Luke brought me some ace bandages. As he wraps he doesn't look at me. 

"Luke, look at me. Please just look at me" I say.

 As he looks up I can see the terror in his eyes

"Are you scared of me?" I ask

"No,I just thought you were going to get hurt and dessie.... I was scared for her to I mean she passed out when we got here " he says

"It's fine, I'm fine and so is she...she had an anxiety attack" I say cringing at the pain that is shooting through my fingers.

 "All done" he says.

I walk into the living room and take my phone out. I had to call Dylan back.

"Hello" he says

"Hey what did you wanna tell me?" I ask

"Oh... so me and my fiance are moving to California and I wanted to know if we could stay with you for awhile" I don't hesitate to answer

"Yea, Dylan I can't wait" I say

"Cool see you soon" he says hanging up.
