chapter 44

When I wake up my eyes begin to burn. As I rub them I hear someone walk in.

"You okay?" I hear them say. It was mom.

"Yes Ma'am, I'm fine" I say with a fake smile .

"Kat, I know you were crying almost all night last night. What happened ?" She asks as she sits at the bottom of my bed.

"Can we not talk about it?" I ask

" okay, but if you want to tell me you can" she says as she gets up and walks out.

When I get back from school I change into shorts and one of Calum's sweaters I brought.

   As I'm changing I hear a knock on the front door.

" I got it Mom" I scream. As I open the door I see Calum. Before I can say anything he is kissing me. I know i should push him off but I can't. My body won't let me. My body is hypnotized by his kiss. All I can do is wrap my arms around his neck and continue to kiss him back .
When our lips part he whispers in my ear jump. I do as I'm told and jump. I wrap my legs around his waist as he carries me to my room.
   When we get in my room he sits on my bed not letting me go and sliding all the way to the wall.

"Calum you- " I say before he cuts me off

"Kat, I don't care that we are miles apart. I don't care that you don't go to sleep next to me every night but I do care that I have you ...I can't lose you b-because i-i love you" he stutters . I look at him in shock.

"Calum, I love you too but you don't deserve this kind of relationship... You deserve a girl that's close and that you can see whenever " I say .

" I know I don't deserve someone like you! You're to good to be true and that's why I can't lose you" he says. I go to kiss him but stop myself.

" what's wrong" he asks looking me in the eyes.

" Its gonna hurt when you leave if we get back together " I say as I brush my thumb across his lips.

" I know but at least being together eases some of it" He says  as he grabs my hand and kisses my wrist.

" you think so ?" I ask.

" I know so" he says as he slowly pulls me into a kiss.

"When are you leaving ?" I ask as I lay down next to him

"Saturday" he says.

"I only get you for 3 days!?!" I ask

" Yea but hey " he says as he uses his thumb and index finger on my chin to make me look at him.

" I'm here now and were okay" he finishes.

"Yea." I say as I nuzzle into his side.

"I love you " he says

"I love you Calum" I say.

The next morning I wake up alone. I walk into the kitchen to see him in just sweats . Dad and Him were drinking coffee.

"Hey Kat" Dad says

"Hey Dad" I say walking over to hug him.

As I hug my Dad I hear Calum clear his throat.

"Good morning Calum" I say letting go of Dad and walking over to Calum.

"morning babe" he says as he wraps one arm around me and kisses the top of my head .

"so what are your plans for today?" Dad asks .

"I don't know, I kinda want to see this place " Calum says as he takes a sip of his coffee. I just stand there still hugging Calum when Dad says

"well Kat will take you around and you guys can spend time together before ya leave ". Calum sets his coffee cup down and pulls me in front of him between his legs.

"You up for that princess?" He asks pulling me close.

"I guess" I say as I rest my head on his chest as he wraps his arms around me.
