chapter 8

After, I couldn't wipe the huge smile of my face. We drove home after we finished our ice cream.

 " I love you" Luke says as we pull into the drive way

" I love you to" I say as I lean over and kiss his cheek.

When I got into the house I ran to my room and called Dessie.

"Hello" she says

"Hey,  me and Luke are dating" I say really fast

" What? really?" she says

" Yea, hey I gotta go! I'll tell you the details later.. I prosmise" I say before I hang up. When Luke walks in the door he walks over and picks me up

" Luke stop it" I say laughing

 He carried me down stairs and place me on the couch 

"Why did you bring me down here? " I ask him trying to calm myself down.

 "Just wanted to be near you" he says

"well we could have layed down and then we would be really close " I say smiling.

"Is that so?" he says as he begins to kiss me

" I believe it is" I say as we kiss.

It was getting late so I went to my room. I layed down and began to draw, Luke came in not to long after me. When he sits down he begins to kiss my neck. I just continue to draw then he began to kiss up my neck and landed on my lips. As we kiss the kisses become longer and harder

" Luke,not yet" I say

" I know" he says leaning back. I layed down next to him and traced hearts on his chest

" I love you Lucas" I say

" I love you" he says. We watched Netflix in my room, after we turned it off I snuggled close to him and kissed his cheek before I layed my head on his chest.

(Next day)

I woke up and got dressed before I woke Luke up. I did my make up and called Dessie.

 "Good morning, time to wake up" I say

"Okay"she says then hangs up.

 "Luke, baby, wake up" I say walking back to the bathroom to fix my hair.

 "Kat, do we have to go to school I mean we can stay here and sleep" he says

"Baby, just get up" I say in a whiney voice

"Okay,I'm getting up" he says.

I packed a gym bag for baseball tryouts.

 "What are you packing that for?" Luke asks walking over to my bed

 "Trying out for baseball. Ashton , Calum and Dessie are gonna be there are you? " I ask him

"Yea, why wouldn't I? and I'm kinda your ride home so" he says smiling

"I'm glad your going to stay" I say kissing him

"anything for you" he says.

(6th period)

"Are you ready for tryouts? Well practice for tryouts?" Luke says

"Yea, I'm kind of nervous I mean you guys will be there and if I don't make the next round I'm going to be so embarrassed" I say

 "You'll do fine, I promise" he says kissing my forehead

When the last 10 minutes of class asked if I could go change. I changed into a pair of baby blue shorts that came to the middle of my thigh and a black v-line shirt. I put my hair into a French braid and walked back to class. When I walked in everyone looked at me. I sat down and pulled out my socks and cleats. As I put them on I look at Luke

"Why is everyone staring at me" I ask

"You look really good" he says smiling

"Well, thank you" I say.

(Practice)

As I practice my pitching I see Ashton, Calum ,Dessie , and Luke.I wave at them before I pitch again. We had to run around the field 3 times, then we had to practice pitching, then we practice catching. By the end my hand was hurting because the baseball's only were thrown at one speed which was super fast.

" Thank you all for coming out I'll see you tomorrow" Coach P said. I walked to grab my stuff.When I took off my glove I saw where the blood vessels in my hand had busted and all I did was smile. I look up and see them all clapping. I smile at them and motion them to come down to the field.

When they got to the field Dessie hugged me.

"Good job." She says

"Thanks"

"You did great" Ashton says and Calum nodded in agreement

" thank y'all" I say. Luke walked up to me and took my hand.

"What happened" he asks rubbing the bluish purple spot in my hand

" the baseballs come really fast so in my case it always busts my blood vessels" I say smiling

"Okay, I wouldn't expect you to be happy about that" he says

"Well this shows I tried" I said pointing to my hand. 

 " okay " he says kissing me

"So who wants to go get ice cream?" Ashton asks

" I Do" I say raising my hand 

"Well you deserve it" he says patting my back.
