OWENS POV
Today I was working, as I always do, as Chief of Surgery it was my duty to be present and today a new surgeon arrived, a certain Atticus Lincoln
Since Callie's departure we needed a new ortho surgeon and I had to welcome him in a few minutes to show him around
Did I tell you about Amelia?
Well I don't really know what to say, are we together? I don't know
How she feels about me? I don't know either but we see each other from time to time, we kiss and sleep together but what does that mean? Well, I don't know that either, but I do know that I have feelings for her,she is more than just a friend
"Dr. Hunt?" he asked and I turned around
"Yes it's me, nice to meet you" I said and shook his hand.
"Nice to meet you I am Dr. Lincoln but you can call me link" he said
"Okay then I'll show you your new place of work" I said
"That would be nice" and I started to show him around, first the emergency room, then the pediatric surgery department, then the general surgery department, then the cardiovascular surgery department and finally the neurology department
"So here is the neurology department which is on the same floor as the cardio-surgery department" I said.
"Oh, who is she?" he asked
"That's Dr. Shepherd, she's the head of neuro surgery " I said
"She's beautiful or let me change my sentence she's hot" he said "yeah I could totally do her" he added and I was completely shocked, what could I say? I knew that Amelia was beautiful and hot but to hear someone say it made me feel a little feeling...I didn't really know what to say so I answered like the chief of surgery should and not like I wanted to, that is to say, my fist in his face
"I advise you to change your tone and control your language here this is a place of work and don't forget that I am your boss and you have just arrived" I said "I'll let you finish the hospital tour alone I have other things to do" I said and left
AMELIAS POV
"Hey I'm link" I heard someone say behind my back so I turned around
"Mmh hey I'm Dr. Shepherd" I said "and you're Dr. Lincoln" I said as I read the name on his labcoat
"Very nice to meet you" he said "I think I might know more than your last name"
"Oh my name is Amelia" I said.
"Would you mind showing me the rest of the hospital? I'm new here" he asked
"I have nothing to do so why not" I said and we left after several minutes where I showed him all the corners of the hospital and we ended up in the cafeteria
"It's almost noon, do you want to eat something?" he asked
"Yes, why not, if it will help you make new friends, I can introduce you to some of them" I said and he laughed
"What's so funny?" I asked
"Well I was hoping to be a little more than a friend to you, you are really hot" he said
"Wow no thanks!" I said and I didn't know what to say, of course I wasn't even interested in him for a second I have Owen well I don't really know what we are but I know I want to be with him
"Mhh I'm kinda taken so absolutely not" I said
"What do you mean 'kinda taken ?" he asked
"We don't know each other so you don't need to know my life, and no I don't want to be more than a friend to you and now I don't even want to be your friend...have a good day" I said and left the cafeteria to go to work
OWENS POV
I was more than angry, in fact I was completely pissed off Amelia had spent most of the morning with this new guy Link and now that I know how he feels about her I can't stand the thought of him being in a room with her, I was on my way to the emergency room when an ambulance arrived and I got out and took the patient to the trauma room and started examining him with April
"He has multiple injuries, one of which is a head injury, page neuro," I said and a few minutes later Amelia arrived and then we took the patient up to the OR.
Amelia and I were getting ready when she said
"How are you doing?
"I've had better days...how about you have fun with that Link? "I said
"What?" she asked
"Well I don't know, you seemed to have a lot of fun with him" I said
"I was just being nice to show him around, what I remind you of is your job so you should say thank you" she said
"I won't say thank you" I said
"Stop being such an asshole" she said
"So stop talking to me" I said and I went into the OR, the surgery was completely silent between me and Amelia...at the end of the surgery we walked out of the room and Amelia took me by the arm
"Now you and I are going to talk, and it's not a question" she said
AMELIAS POV
"You ignored me all day and I don't even know why, you didn't talk to me for hours and hours and I don't even know why because as usual you don't talk to me" I said
"You've been with Link all day so I don't see how I can talk to you" he said
"It was just this morning and as I told you before I just gave him a tour of the hospital" I said
"Well when that man says you're hot and he could do you, I don't like it" he said
"Are you jealous?" I asked
"Me?pfff whatever" he said
"are you sure?" I asked
"I'm not jealous" he said
"Well then I can go with link" I said
"No!" he said
"why?" I asked
"Because" he said
"Why?" I asked again
"Because" he repeated
"Damn it Owen ! I'm trying to talk to you to find out what you think and you won't tell me anything, as usual," I said
"But you don't understand anything, if I react like this what do you think it means?" He asked
"Well I don't know" I said "if you don't tell me I can't guess"
"I want you to be mine, so when link talks about you like that...believe me it puts me in a state of jealousy that I didn't even think was possible" he said and I couldn't believe what I was hearing
"What?" I said.
"Don't make me say it again Amelia" he said
"Damn it why didn't you say it earlier" I said
"What's the point, I certainly can't compete with link and you deserve much better than me" he said
"No Owen...I pushed him away today because I want to be yours, I want to be yours and I want you to be mine...I'm so in love with you but I was so afraid to tell you" I said with tears in my eyes
"I'm crazy in love with you" he said and kissed me
"I'm yours" he said "all yours"
"And I'm yours" I said and snuggled up to him and never wanting this moment to end, I was finally back in his arms and I couldn't be better, I was back home, he was my home
