i woke up with a "good morning, have good day. i'll call you later" message from armin. it made my heart swell and i texted back a "you too, lookin forward to it." after that, i got in the shower and got dressed for the activities that were gonna come later. reiner had texted me, never double texting and waiting for my response each time even when i got to him hours later. i had to leave around five but i hope that this little tryst would end early so armin and i could call.

"morning sunshine," i heard in a sarcastic voice. "how was your day yesterday?" i turned around as i held a piece of toast. it was kiana. "oh thank god it's you." i take a bit of it while she sat at the island bar seats. "who didn't you want it to be?"

"jasmine."

"anyway, eren texted me saying that they have food in their house." i stayed unfazed, eating my toast and opening up the fridge. "okay? are they not supposed to have food?" eren must have gotten home when armin and i were out. "the point is that i've been over there and they never have food. dishes were done, drying on the counter. two glasses for drinking together."

i turned around, closing the fridge and sipping my water. "what are you saying? someone ate in their house?" i asked, knowing what she was talking about but she didn't need to know i know. kiana rolled her eyes, "were you at eren and armin's after the party?" she decided to jump to the point but i simply shook my head.

"no."

"what?"

"no, i wasn't there. i was with...reiner."

kiana gave me a weird look, "okayy, so if you were with reiner then that means armin was will another girl last night. because eren was with me all night after the party and all day yesterday." i shrugged, "i don't know and i don't care." but kiana wouldn't let it go. "so you're okay with armin fucking around with some bitch that isn't you?"

i felt my heart sting at that thought even though it wasn't true. i was that bitch she was talking about. "armin is doing what?! i'll kill em." jasmine popped around the corner. i tensed up. "NO! jasmine you don't have to do that. everything is fine." i tried to wave the situation away but she shook her head, "no! it's not fine. is armin cheating on you?"

"cheating?! we aren't even dating!"

"why not? i would assume that you are."

"why are you assuming stuff?"

"because at the party y'all looked so close like y'all were dating."

"armin and i are friends! matter of fact, i have a date today." i announced, causing kiana and jasmine to look at each other. "date?" they asked together. i blinked, upset that i said that so fast. i didn't like to be proven wrong, it was my pride and my ego talking right now. and it wasn't even a date to me, it was a hang out that required him making drinks for me and eating food.

i cleared my throat, "yeah, a date. with reiner." i said matter of factly. jasmine furrowed her eyebrows. "do you even like armin?"

"no. like i said, we're friends." i was lying straight through my teeth. armin and i had kissed, slept in the same bed together, cooked breakfast together but i still was denying everything any feelings between us. kiana gave a look of concern to jasmine while jasmine narrowed her eyes at me.

"armin likes you dakota. don't go sleeping around and breaking his heart." she warned. i scoffed, "armin doesn't like me." i rolled my eyes, "and i do what i want! stop telling me what to do."

i grabbed my water and walking past them to my room. i took a deep breath, holding it in before blowing it out. speaking of reiner, my phone buzzed with his name popping up.
