Once my second lesson had finished I made my way back to the main hall, I was finally starting to learn where everything was in this huge and complicated school."Hannah," I turn around to see who was calling my name out repeatedly.
"Oh, hi James." I greeted him, secretly hoping it was Brad.
"I have good news and bad news." He tells me. "But I sort of have to tell you the bad news first for it to make sense."
"Fine, go ahead." I hesitate, I don't really want anymore bad luck at the moment.
"Well, the gyms been shut because the electric box there has exploded so half the equipment won't work, but the good news is that I have a day off work, and that it will be open tomorrow, so we can go then." He says more enthusiastically towards the end.
"Well, that's a shame. I can go tomorrow though." I say relieved, I really didn't want to go to the gym, I hate it and the only reason I went last time was because, well I have no idea.
"Anyway, let's go to lunch, I need to tell you all my plans for fame." He laughs lightly grinning.
I don't know why, but James reminds me of Patrick from the perks of being a wallflower, but he's not gay. I try to ignore my very deep thoughts, for the remainder of the walk to the sixth form hall.
As we arrive in the sixth form hall, James takes me over to his area and I sit beside him.
"Okay, so you ready to hear all my plans?" He asks still grinning.
"Go ahead." I say.
"I've already told you about my band and about the drummer on YouTube and Brad who can sing and play guitar. Well anyway I got into contact with the drummer guy, and his name is Tristan and he's the same age as me, we're also meeting up this weekend on Saturday, and I asked Brad and he said he'd come as well." James tells me excitedly.
"That's cool." I say.
"What's wrong?" He asks frowning.
"Nothing." I reply.
"There's something, I can tell." He presses for more information.
"Fine, there is something." I give in sighing. "I don't know how much longer I can keep this whole thing with Brad, he's blanking me or just staring at me and it's awkward." I tell him.
"Why didn't you kiss him?" He asks curiously.
"Because of what you said." I say accusingly.
"But, do you like him?" He asks.
"Yes," I reply.
"Then you should talk to him." He tells me.
"What do I say?" I ask.
"I don't know." He says.
"Well, thanks for being helpful." I reply and walk over to where I know Brad will be.
"Your going now?" He asks.
"Yeah." I reply and don't look back.
I know that if I continue to talk to James it will distract me and I'll find a way out.
As I reach the corner of the hall I see brad's back on a seat. With each step closer I get to him the more anxious I get. I try to push it away and wipe the sweat off my palms onto my jeans and continue, until I'm standing in front of him. I look down at him as he sits on his chair and looks up at me. I quickly clear my throat, then continue.
