When I was ready wearing a simple white shirt and ripped jeans I killed time by pacing around my room figuring out ways to not make it too obvious that me and brad had something going on in front of everyone else today. I didn't want them to think we were still mad at each other either though. The annoying thing is me and Brad aren't exactly a thing, even though we've kissed, so I'm confused. He obviously wouldn't have kissed me if he didn't love me, would he?When I hear the knock at the door I quickly examine myself in the mirror one last time, I still feel uncomfortable about wearing a v neck, as you can see the hickey Brad gave me, but no one knows it was him who have it to me. The t shirt clings to my curves, which adds another factor of uncomfortableness on top.
After a few more moments of me judging myself I grab my phone and walk down to answer the door. James smiles as soon as I become visible to him.
"You ready?" He asks still smiling and biting his lip.
I try to ignore the mixture of feelings that hit me as he bites his lips and stares at me, I begin to feel more uncomfortable under his five second gaze.
"I, um yeah," I say flustered and walk out closing the door behind me and following James out to his car.
As we start driving his music starts to play, but it's not him this time and he doesn't stop it.
"Who's this?" I ask referring to the music playing.
"Oh, Taylor swift, but her older stuff." He tells me.
"Is there anyone else you like, or just her?" I ask.
"I like all sorts of music, really, but Taylor is my favourite." He replies. "What about you, what kind of music do you listen to?"
"Um, just sort of people no ones really heard of." I say starting to become embarrassed.
"Try me," he replies.
"Okay, just sort of like the 1975, lorde and haim." I tell him.
"I know all those." He says. "You have pretty good taste."
"Thanks." I reply and stay silent for the rest of the journey.

I've never been to James's house before and I feel slightly nervous, but also a little excited that I will be able to meet Tristan the new drummer for their band.
We pull up in his drive that is hidden away by loads of trees and down a short road with no other houses. I don't know why but James seemed more three floor townhouse than two floor massive detached that was hidden away with tons of land. But that's probably because I viewed him as similar to me and that's what my old house was like.
We make our way out of the car and I follow him into his house, as soon as the door opens and I step inside I am met with a huge hallway and staircase in the middle then doors either side to some other rooms.
My phone buzzes in my pocket and I pull it out viewing the text.
Remember me?
-ChloeI instantly reply, I completely forgot about my childhood friend, that was another reason why I never wanted to move. It's strange that I completely forgot about her and she didn't forget me, well I didn't forget her, but I sort of moved on in a way.
"Hannah?" James taps my shoulder snapping me out of my thoughts.
"Oh, sorry." I look up at him.
"What am I going to do with you?" He laughs to himself then takes my hand and leads me through to a room, which I'm assuming is the living room.
"Tristan will probably be here soon, Brad was meeting him at the station, so we have another five or ten minutes before they arrive." He tells me looking up at the clock.
"Cool." I reply and feel my phone buzz in my pocket.
I take my hand away from James's and take my phone from my pocket and read another message from Chloe.
Guess who's moving to Birmingham?
-ChloeI reply quickly again, shocked.
What? How?
-HannahMy dads being moved there because of his job or something, anyway we need to catch up I've missed you
-ChloeAs I read the text James tugs at my top dragging me down to sit next to him.
I've missed you too, I'll talk to you later I'm kind of busy
-HannahI put my phone down and look at James who sits comfortably beside me.
"Done?" He asks.
"Yes," I reply.
"Good," he says.
"Aren't you nervous?" I ask him.
"No, why?" He replies.
"Well, your meeting someone you've never even seen before, I mean he could be some creepy middle aged pervert or something." I say, now worried myself.
"I don't think Tristan would be a fifty year old pedophile, there's videos of him drumming on youtube and when I skyped him he looked about my age." He says laughing lightly.
"Well, what if this doesn't work?" I ask.
"God, I should be the one worrying here, not you." He smiles, "calm down, okay?" He wraps his arms around my shoulders, I hope this is a friendly gesture.
Just as things get quiet there's a knock at the door interrupting our silence, James gets up and I decide not to follow him.
I hear them talking and after a few minutes they walk in and I stand to greet them, well mainly Brad. But they don't have to know that, I've missed Brad already and it's not even been a day.
"Hi," Brad says pulling me into a hug. "I've missed you." He whispers in my ear.
"Same here," I reply whispering as well.
We pull away from each other and I'm faced with who I'm assuming is Tristan. A tall, skinny and blonde smiley guy, who already seems a bit intimidating.
"Hi I'm tris, and you?" He says loudly.
"I'm Hannah, it's nice to finally see you," I reply.
"I told you he wasn't a middle aged perv." James adds.
I cover my face in embarrassment and luckily Tris just laughs and so does Brad and James.
"Well, I could be, you just wouldn't know because I'm wearing a little Olay at the moment." Tris says in between his laughter. "So are you in the future band thing James was talking about?" He asks me.
"No, I'm just a friend that came along." I tell him.
"Well, why don't we do something productive?" James says hinting to the fact that they needed to sort some stuff out with their band.
*********************
"Do you like Tristan?" I ask James."Yeah, you?" He asks.
"Yeah," I reply.
"Cool, well we're here, I guess I'll see you tomorrow at school then." James says.
"Yeah." I reply and get out the car and walk back into my house.
