Thanksgiving Dinner and a confession:

I received a call from my mother, asking if they could hold Thanksgiving at our home ( I don't think of it as mine), I tell her I need to let Alonzo know, I will get back to her that evening, since Alonzo does not like anyone over( only his friends and sluts,) especially if it's to see me, I know that he will not say no to his parents, so I call his mother, I tell her that I would like to hold thanksgiving at our home but, Alonzo will not agree, knowing Valerie she will call him and tell him Thanksgiving dinner will be held at our home.

2 hours after my mother called me I received a call from Alonzo, he tells me I have to cook Thanksgiving dinner for the  family, he will have Maria go shopping for the groceries, he doesn't trust me, I said that's fine, I  hang up.

Thanksgiving night arrives Maria and I have been cooking all day, Alonzo arrives early I go to my room, I don't want him to see me I am still afraid he might want to hit me, like he use to before but, amazingly he asks Maria if she knows where I am, Maria said "she just went to the bathroom she should be back", he sat on a stool and waited for me to come back. (Maria text me to come out), I walk into the kitchen, and start putting the last apple pie in the oven, when all of a sudden Alonzo comes from behind and hugs me, I am now freaking out, I start shaking and to scared to move, Maria looks over and freezes, she drops the pot she had in her hands and looks at Alonzo, he smiles at her and says "what I can't hug my wife? I swear I could of peed my underwear right there and then, I ask him to please let me finish with the food, our families will be arriving in an hour, he looks at me gives me a kiss on the cheek, lets go and heads to his room, I am literally scared to death felt all my blood drain down to my toes, Maria tells me to go get ready.

It is now 6:00pm his family has arrived his parents are here and to my surprise, Mario is also here, I showered and put on a cream color down to my ankles dress and put on a cardigan to cover my scars on my arms I cannot wear heels as of yet, so I have white sandals, my hair is down long waves, I walk over to my sister Malena she is smiling happy to see me. She smiles then frowns, when she see Alonzo coming towards us, my parents and the Rugetti's are now in their own conversation.

They see me and come towards me to say hello, Mario is first he gives me a big hug and kisses me on my cheek says, hey Lucia long time no see, when are you going to divorce my idiot brother and marry me? all of a sudden I feel 2 arms wrapping around my waist, I freeze, my face pales and see Mario look at me and asks me are you ok?

I can hear Alonzo say she's alright, she is just so happy that I am home and we get to spend some sweet time together, Mario looks at me and then at Alonzo, says, hey bro can I borrow your wife I need her to sign some papers. they are very important.

Alonzo asks what papers? Mario takes out some papers and says " this is regarding her company shares", soon as Alonzo hears that he lets me go. Mario pulls me to the study and says "I seen how afraid you are of him, is he still beating you? I said no, John and Fernando are taking care of me, Mario says "I should have been here, should have not have left the country. I would of married you in a second, but I wanted out of the company, I have always been in love with you Lucia right there" and then I cried, and replied," I always had a crush on you since we were little. Why are you telling me now? I am married to your brother, Mario looks at my face streaming with tears gives me a tight hug and says:

I am so really sorry, please forgive me. ( to our disappointment Alonzo was eavesdropping outside the door).

We walked out of the study and we go back with the family, I can see Alonzo staring at me his eyes are cold and scary, luckily his mother comes over and smacks him on his arms, tells him he better stop with his glaring, he better let it be a Happy Thanksgiving and behave Alonzo smirks and stares back at me.
