Fear still evident:

I don't know how many times I have heard this from him, but as it is right now, I cannot be going out on dates with him, I know I will have a hard time especially, after the way he treated me, when I would accompanied him to social parties, that bitch Brenda, was always present at the parties, he would introduce me as his wife, but at the sometime he would be squeezing my waist so hard, that I knew that when we get home, I would be bruised all over and in pain for days, these kinds of side hugs are what now I am paranoid of.

I can see his expression as I sit next to him, he has a sad smile, I really don't hug him when we are alone, I kissed him a few times, because he makes me feel all tingly and nice, but at the same time when he speaks of taking care of me, I become filled with terror.

My mom was standing at the door for who know how long, she sees me and then looks at Alonzo, she tells me, Honey Lucia can I have a minute with Alonzo? Please. I pull my hand out of Alonzo's and say sure mom and walk out.

Alonzo:

Mom ( Mrs. Torres).,what would you like to talk about?

Well Alonzo, I can see you have changed and you do seem to love my baby girl Lucia, but I hope you can understand that even though she seems to have developed feelings for you, she still seems to fear you! she tends to look tense and you can see the fear in her eyes.

Mariana:

Alonzo, Lucia is under a lot of stress and needs to rest and relax, her father and I have decided we will be sending her back to the Sanchez family in Mexico to get treatment done there. Where she will be in a place she feels comfortable and safe, we have already contacted them and everything has been set up she will leave in two weeks. Please don't be upset, it is only until she can recover, my husband will be taking over the shipping company here and Franco will travel and work and cover for Lucia in Mexico.

I heard you tell Lucia you will also go to therapy, this will give each of you time to recover then both of you can proceed from there. I can see the tears in Alonzo's eyes, he looks like he is about to cry, but he holds them back, he looks at me and says, Mom, even though I feel very heartbroken and sad, I know it's for the best, but please Mrs. Torres, Please when I get better whether before or after her, give me a chance to see her

Alonzo if she is willing to see you, you can see her. We will not interfere.

Alonzo smiles, but it's a sad smile, turns to look at me and replies Thank You Mom.

Lucia walks back in, I hadn't noticed those clothes she is wearing, they look a bit big, then as she gets closer, I notice she folded the bottom of those sweats, the shirt is a bit big, she looks at me and smiles blushing, she tells me, I guess you noticed ha?

I couldn't help but, smile and tell her notice what?

Oh come on Alonzo!, she blushes even more then I hear her mom say, Lucia whose clothes are you wearing? Lucia turns around looks at her mom and with her hands in front of her slowly points towards me. Mrs. Torres laughs and says oh my gosh, I hadn't noticed them until now, mom sits back on the chair still giggling but now watching television.

I look at Lucia and say "Baby you make those clothes look good"

Of course, she blushes and tells me, I'm sorry, I borrowed your clothes without your permission, I have no clothes or a home for that matter, I smile at her beautiful, now turned red as apple face, I tell her what is mine, is yours, you can wear anything you like from my closet. She bent down and gave me a kiss with that she says, Thank You, a few minutes later my dad Mr. Torres and Franco walk in.

They all notice Lucia's clothes, Franco smirks looking at her, my dad and Mr. Torres, smile look at each other and sit next to mom.
