Aomine Daiki.
The name that caused every person in school trembling when it comes to basketball and violence. Even though he skips classes, every delinquent in school knew how strong and capable he is. When he walked through the corridor, some would glance at him fearfully, disgustingly and some would ignore it. Except for a certain person.
"Dai-chan!" Momoi ran up to him with a wide smile on her face.
He clicked his tongue before speaking, "What?"
"Where were you yesterday? Did something happened?" The pink-haired female asked.
Aomine didn't reply immediately. He recalled back of what had happened between him and his basketball captain, Imayoshi Shoichi.
----
"You've been running away for so long Aomine...and you've got yourself walking into a situation you never wanted to be in."
He knew what Imayoshi meant. He regretted the choice of turning (F/n) down. He regretted the choice of leaving her- wait. He regretted the choice of letting her go unloved. When he confessed and got rejected, he remembered that day when he rejected her. He knew how painful her heart was and what's worse is that he was being cold, selfish and egoistic.
Unable to say anything, he only managed to slam his narrow-eyed captain against the locker behind and let out an annoyed growl. "That was none of your concern..."
"Think about it Aomine. Why do you think she was sticking closer to you until now? You've hurt her in the past but she's still hanging around you..." Imayoshi smirked. "Oh wait. I mean, you're still hanging around her." Before continuing again, he chuckled, "Do you know how painful it was for her to bear your sick attitude?"
The tanned male's eyes squint, indicating that he was pissed. "Imayoshi..." He growled.
"Aomine... She's broken. She needed someone to fix her heart. She let it shatter when you rejected her but she managed to stand because she was special."
Before the captain continued, he felt his phone vibrating. Pulling it out of his pocket -with Aomine still gripping his collar-, he took a quick read at it.
#(F/n)-chan
"I'm sorry Imayoshi-senpai. I can't...""Aah too bad. (F/n)-chan rejected my offer," He chuckled.
Aomine gripped his hand tight around the male's collar.
"Do we really have to settle this by using violence?" Imayoshi asked. "How do you think she'll react if she found out you give in to that sort of method?"
Aomine knew the answer; she'd be hurt again.
----
"Dai-chan? Dai-chan?? Dai-chan!" Momoi's voice slowly ascended and Aomine snapped back to reality when the pink-haired girl call out to him. "Are you listening?"
The male sighed, "What??"
"(F/n)-chan."
He stopped in his steps when she mentioned her name. "Dai-chan. What are you going to do?" Momoi was sadden. Her eyes worries for them both. "Tetsu-kun said that yo-"
"I don't really care about it..." He answered. "It's her choice."
"But are you giving up?!" Momoi raised her voice. "Dai-chan! This isn't like you at all! I remember you saying that you wouldn't gi-" She stopped when she felt the terror in Aomine's eyes. He was furious when he looked at her.
