22: Usa, the Rabbit Mascot.

The school was crowded with students, cheerleaders and participants who are preparing for the Sports Day Festival. You were preparing yourself with the 'Rabbit' Mascot Costume as the third years are busying themselves. You held the Rabbit's head in your hand and glanced at everyone who is struggling with the props, shouting and telling one another of what to do next. Sighing, you felt quite a little bit bored but excited until suddenly Shota's voice caught your attention.

"(F/n)-chan!" He waved with a wide grin spread across his face. "Sorry for all the troubles. I hope you're ready."

"N-No. It's not a problem," you chuckled nervously. "I was just wondering why our mascot has to be a rabbit..." You asked.

He blinked. Before he could speak, Rinka (from chapter 20) suddenly jumped out of nowhere and hugged you from behind.

"Oh (F/n)-chan!!" She squealed. "You look adorable!"

Shota chuckled, "Well, obviously because Rinka has this obsession going on with rabbits..."

"R-Rin..ka...S-Senpai..." You stuttered, feeling like you needed some air to breathe.

She realized what you meant so she immediately pushed herself away from you. "Heheh. Sorry (F/n)-chan..."

Shota and Rinka told you that you will start in thirty minutes so that gave you some time to calm down for a while. You know that this isn't your first time being a mascot. But, what if the Rabbit's head fall off during the event? You agreed to become this school's mascot as long as everyone kept their mouth shut about your identity. With that agreement alone, it's quite surprising that everyone agreed to it. Well, partially it's because you threatened to kill them if anyone ever spill it out.

Sighing internally, you wore your Rabbit Mascot Costume and walked through the hallway of the school. The cute little footstep coming from the Rabbit's feet causes a few people to glance at the Mascot's cute little figure, making them squealing and giggling at its cute feature. You on the other hand decided to ignore it and went up to the rooftop. Pushing open the door, you marched forward and stopped at the cage area of the roof. You stared onto the school ground, letting your eyes viewing the students and participants who are pretty much excited at the thoughts of joining the competitions.

In all of a sudden, your minds darted back to when Aomine had visited your apartment and ended up arguing with your father, again. But that night, when they return back to the apartment, the two of them didn't argue as much as they used to. You wondered what had happened but you don't really feel like asking either of them.

"Does the rabbit lose its way to a rabbit hole?"

The voice made your skin crawling and jumped slightly from your standing spot. You turned around and saw the tanned skin male glaring lazily towards you. Hah! Speak -or should I say, think- of the devil and voila! Here he is, standing with his so-called-famous-lazy glare. You froze in your spot and stared at him. He doesn't know that it was you in this costume does he?

"Hey, I'm talking to you. What are you doing here?" He narrowed his eyes, obviously annoyed by the fact that he didn't get a reply. "This is my napping place. So, hop your bunny tail off the roof."

Irritated by his voice, you hold the urge to throw him off the building or into the sky whatsoever. But wait a minute. It doesn't seem like he knew it was you behind the costume. Gulping, you decided to change your voice a little, making it sound like you're a boy.

"H-Huh..? What are you, the headmaster of this school?" You said as you tried to act cool by crossing your bunny arms.

His eyebrows twitched but then he smirked. "Oh? The rabbit talk. I wonder where Alice had run off to..." He walked forward, devilishly hovering over your small, fragile body. "I guess she already left through the rabbit hole..." He chuckled.
