You've been sneaking around the corner of the school ever since you arrived. Last night's event was unexpectedly awkward. After Horikita had confessed to you, you can hardly say anything.

~~ Flashback ~~

"(F/n)-chan! I T-THINK I L-LOVE YOU!!" Horikita muffled a scream as she hugged you tight.

"Ee...EHHHHHHH?!!!" your voice echoed in the night sky as you were totally shocked.

The air was filled with an eerie silence as Aomine widens his eyes at the scene in front of you. After a few seconds -though it feels like minutes-, you blinked.

"M..Mai-chan," you muttered. "It's..I..."

Pulling herself away from you, she blushes and looked at you in the eye with tears prickling her eyes.

"I k-know this is w-weird but somehow I've never had any close friends with me before. I don't know why but sometimes, all the girls seem to hate me and they would even break off our friendships," Horikita said as she grips your shoulders tight. "B-but, (F/n)-chan is different! We were having a great time together and all I wanted to do is stay by your side.. You made me smile and made me feel like I'm special. Even though it was just for two days, but it was worth it."

"M-mai-chan. So, you mean, you actually love me in some sort of a friendship way right?" you asked awkwardly.

"No!" she almost yelled. "I do love you.." She glanced towards the ground and whispered, "All the boys in school creeps me out! They were drooling all over the place, they've been stalking me almost everyday and their glares...it's scary... That's why I quit school...." she muttered the last part.

'Isn't that because of your slim figure, big chest and your job? You're a model and of course they'd wanted to see something more than just staring at your pictures...' you thought.

"(F/n)-chan!" She shrieked. "Please, accept me."

Your mouth gaped open and that had caused you to freeze your tongue in confusions. You didn't know what to do or what to say. Glancing around, you almost forgot that Aomine was standing right behind her. You slowly remove Horikita's gripping hand away from your shoulders.

Tilting your head down towards the ground, you muttered, "I'm sorry Mai-chan. I.. I don't know what to say..."

Horikita took a step back and smiled sadly, "I understand (F/n)-chan."

You raised your head to look at her face. She was smiling at you and you felt guilty. You don't want to break her heart. After all, you've spent most of your times with her as friends and you don't want things to be ruined just because of a weird confession.

Walking pass her, you whispered softly, "I'm really sorry."

Aomine stared at you for a brief moment until his eyes went back to Horikita's. Horikita ignored Aomine's presence when she turned to take a last glance at you.

"(F/n)-chan! I won't give up! I will protect this love and treasuries it just like you told me!" She cried but felt confident at the same time.

You didn't turn to look at her. Aomine turned towards you and waited for your next action but you didn't say anything. You quickly walk away from her, still being shock of her sudden confessions.

Glancing around the corner of the school, you knew that somehow you would accidentally run into her. If that happens, you would definitely run off rather than staring into Horikita's eyes without saying anything. Today's her last day of photo shoots in this school. Seeing that no familiar face was in the hallway, you grip your bag in a tight hug and quickly push your feet towards your classroom. Sliding the door open, you hit your face hard against someone's chest.
