You Will Be Missed

*April's P.O.V*

After a short nap I woke up from a grunt that was coming from Trevor.

"Um, is everything alright?" I asked getting nervous.

"The gas ran out," Trevor answered.

I just nodded and looked outside the window to see that we're in an unfamiliar surroundings.

"Okay I think there's a gas station near us," he said.

We all piled out of the car and Blake handed me a crossbow. Daryl used to teach me how to use this. I wonder if he's alive.

Of course he is, the Dixons are strong.

"Look!" Ella pointed at a gas station.

I walked inside the shop and searched for a chocolate. I found the most expensive one, the one I never tasted.

After taking a bite I smiled to myself on how delicious this food is.

I heard a small moan and I looked around and find nothing. I stepped closer to the water area and saw a stroller. There's a baby that already turned into that thing.

I gasped at the scene, this is so heartbreaking. Ella came toward me and gasped.

We all stood frozen, well how could we not? This baby is only, from what I can tell, is three months old. And now it has changed.

Blake approached us and saw the look on our faces then he look down at the baby. He looked at me like asking for permission if he should kill the baby and I nodded.

I turned around as I heard the knife coming to the baby's brain. I shuddered as I went to another corner.

I felt a tap on my shoulder and I screamed.

"Human!" Blake shouted and I sighed in relief.

"Don't scare me like that," I said and he grinned innocently.

"Hey um you're okay?" he asked.

"Of course why wouldn't I be? It's my twelve birthday, the apocalypse happened, and my dad turned into those things so I think I'm good," I replied sarcastically.

Blake rolled his eyes, his mouth opened to say something but it was cutted by Trevor running inside with a terrified look on his face.

"Okay we need to go like right now," he said.

We all ran toward the door but it was blocked by about ten walkers. Huh, walkers, that sounds good.

"I think we can handle it, right?" Ella asked and I just nodded unsure.

I saw a pocket knife so I grabbed it as they already ran outside and I rolled my eyes.

I killed for about two walkers, the rest already killed it.

Then, just then, a herd of walkers came. All of us ran to the car as Trevor was having a hard time turning on the engine.

"They're coming!" I yelled. A few of them already surrounded the car then the engine roared as the car moved forward.

I sighed in relief that we're already a few distant from the walkers.

The chocolate that I stuffed in my pocket is still there so I pull it out and ate one more before giving it to Ella.

"Here, a birthday cake," I joked and she chuckled.

"Well, happy birthday to us!" she exclaimed and I laughed as she bit the chocolate.
