Endless Circle
April's P.O.V
We all gathered at the church for a meeting and it was settled that we'll be going to kill this group they were talking about.
I didn't really feel like killing someone so I went to Rick to talk about it.
Just as he was walking toward his house I jogged up toward him.
"Hey Rick," I called out and he stopped to turn around at me.
"Um, can I be like uh just watching over the perimeter or something?" I asked.
"April," he spoke, "It's a race toward the weapons room. We need more people,"
Sighing, I look at Blake who was walking in the distance. He seems pretty chill with having one hand only. But me on the other side...
"Yeah but," I trailed off.
"Plus you're one of our best," he smiled and I nodded.
"Right," I muttered. Rick seems to be thinking before nodding.
"Alright. You can stay with Maggie watching over the perimeter," he declared and I smiled.
"Okay, um thanks," with that I walked away and approached Blake.
"I guess you're staying here?" I asked while jumping into his back making him laugh.
"Yup. Don't feel like I wanna lose another hand," he joked and I frown a little. Why is he so calm about this?
"So, where are we heading?" I questioned when Blake started walking toward the lake.
He put me down on the grass then sat down beside me, "You and your siblings are going in two days huh,"
I just hummed in return as I watched Blake feeling nervous, "Are you okay?"
"Erm, yeah. Just uh thinking," he responded.
"A penny for your thought?" I grinned and he chuckled at me.
"Penny won't really change anything nowadays huh?" he joked before plucking grasses.
"You can tell me anything Blake," I said, scooting toward him and lay my head on his shoulder.
"Nah. Everything's fine," he muttered and I could trace the lie on it.
"Yeah and walkers don't eat us," I joked.
"Well, I don't want to be a burden to you," he mumbled and I smiled softly.
"Blake, you can never be a burden to me, or anyone. So tell me what's up," I explained.
"Well, having only one hand is pretty shitty. I couldn't do anything properly, people need to think twice before sending me out there. And just, I feel useless," he grunted and I sighed before pecking his lips.
"It must be pretty hard. And to be honest I hate seeing you in this condition. Call me selfish but I prefer it if you don't go out there, I really love you and to think if I ever lose you would make me go mad," I smiled and he did too before kissing me.
"I love you April," he said.
"I love you too,"
-
"Your baby will kick ass once he or she will come out," I said as I watched Maggie smiling at her belly which held another human creature in it.
She laughed as I said that, "Great April. Now I'm imagining a little baby fighting off walkers," she teased and I grinned at her.
"Nice one Maggie," I said as she rolled her eyes.
"Hey I have a couple of nicknames for you. How about Mags? No that's pretty simple. Maggie-G yo yo," she laughed as I continued to name some ridiculous nicknames.
Soon the laughters died down because we need to get serious on the situation.
And then the blaring happened.
"Oh shit," I muttered as I pick up my gun.
Shit, what if Daryl or Ella gets hurt? What if both of them gets hurt?
With that thought in mind, I start running before Carol stopped me and Maggie.
She was pretty hard on Maggie, and I knew it was because Maggie is a mother.
I guess she's worried for Maggie since she was once a mother too.
But we all froze when people start surrounding us with their guns pointing at our heads.
Just brilliant.
