Jamal was already waiting outside his car when Akeela appeared from the front door of the house. He noticed her presence from the silhouette that fell upon him from his car which wass parked in the compound of the large house.
He perked up to see the most beautiful creature ever, modestly dressed as usual and looking gorgeous in her long red dinner gown. He could barely see her heels because her long gown had covered them up.
He watched her with mouth agape, taking in the sight before him as she approached with a light smile on her face.
"Can we go?" She jerked him out of his reverie.
He didn't realize she was close to him already. It felt like a movie. He still couldn't believe the beautiful woman before him was his wife-to-be.
"God! You look stunning", he commented. "Damn beautiful."
She smiled. "Thank you, sir. Can we go now?"
"Sure", he said, still not moving from where he stood. Akeela peered at him with a questioning look.
"Hmmm... Can I hug you?" He stammered.
That was so unlike him. He was never the one to ask a girl if he can hug her. Being with Sarah and her white friends had gotten him accustomed to getting hugs whenever he wished to or whenever the other person wished to.
"No!" She replied sharply. "Let's go."
He felt embarrassed as she moved to the other side of the car and hopped in. When he entered and sat on the driver's seat, he saw the smile on her face and he decided to push it further.
"Don't tell me you don't hug your ex at all?" He asked her.
Akeela was silent. Her smile had vanished. She wondered why he had to bring up Fred's name in the middle of a beautiful night. She felt it was inevitable because she had planned on talking to him about Sarah.
She told him they would talk when they see after he began to question her about the way she reacted the other day.
When she remembered the question he asked her, she didn't know whether to say the truth or not. She felt if she say yes, he would think she was cheap.
"No!"
"What? You two did not have a thing together?" He asked as he ignited the car into action.
She knew what he meant by that statement. He was asking her if they had never had sex.
She would have had sex with Fred if she hadn't caught him cheating on her that night. They've had several intimate actions that were close to sex but they have never had sex. Caresses, kisses, hugs were the usual thing between them.
"No."
"Waw!" He looked surprised. "I'm blessed", he grinned and chuckled loudly.
Akeela wondered why he is so happy about it. The grin on his face was still there till they got to their first stop.
Akeela knew she had won his heart already and he was going to value her for life for keeping her body intact.

Akeela watched the way Jamal was walking with confidence like someone who knew where he was headed to and what he was going to say or do there. He also speaks with confidence. When they got to the restaurant and walked in, he pulled the seat out for her like a gentleman would do. Akeela rewarded him with a smile before he sat on his chair which was opposite hers.
Jamal was also watching Akeela's every move. To say he was surprised was an understatement.
How can a girl as old as Akeela say she has never hugged a man not to talk of her boyfriend? He asked himself.
