Unexpected Reunion

Yet another wedding!

      I woke up the next morning with a slight headache.  Now I know why Damon insisted I drink so much water. Oh shit, Damon! Everything that happened came rushing back and I looked down to see a sleeping Damon right next to me.  I jumped up and grabbed some clothes.  When I was done getting dressed Damon was sitting up in bed smiling.

"How can you be smiling at a time like this?  I mean I just cheated on Shane!  One of the nicest and sweetest men ever.  He did not deserve this!"  Damon stood up and walked over to me.

"Saint please calm down. It will be ok. I'm sorry that you feel this way right now but what happened between us was not a mistake.  I love you and you love me, and these things just happen."

"Yes, but it was wrong.  I can't completely blame you though because it does take two but still.  This is going to destroy Shane!"  I sat down on the bed and cried.  Damon reached over and put his arms around me.

"Damon, I know you're trying to help but do you think that you could go?  I have to get ready to go help Linda set up her wedding."  He kissed the top of my head and got up and started getting dressed.

When he was at the door he turned and looked at me.  "I love you, Saint."  Then he was gone.  I don't know how long I sat and cried before I fixed myself up and decided that I needed to be strong today since it was Linda's day, and I was not going to ruin it!

When I arrived at the venue I went straight in search of Linda.  I walked into the bridal room and Linda and Katie were there putting the final touches on Linda's hair and makeup.  I knew I for sure wasn't going to say anything.

"Hey guys, Linda, you look beautiful, I can't wait to see the gown on you!"  Linda nodded her head.

"I know right!"  Katie walked up to me.

"So how are you doing today?" I waved her off.

"I am fine, it's Linda's day and that's who we are going to worry about!"  She didn't look like she bought it, but she didn't say anything else.

Before we knew it, it was time for our friend to walk down the aisle.  I walked down the aisle with one of Tyler's work buddies and as I was walking, I saw Damon.  Dammit, I was hoping he wasn't going to be here today.  He looked at me like I was his entire world, and I didn't know how to feel about that, so I quickly looked away.

It was a beautiful ceremony and when it was over, we all headed to the hall where the reception was. After Tyler and Linda were announced the party officially began!  I ran up to Linda and wrapped her in a huge hug.

"I am so excited for you!  I mean you are married!" She hugged me back.

"Thank you, it's crazy, I can't believe I married my high school sweetheart!"  I also reached over to hug Tyler.

"Congrats to you too!"  He hugged me back.

"Thank you, I can't believe I talked this crazy chick into marrying me!"  Linda smacked his arm.

"Hey, I'll show you crazy."

"I'm looking forward to it!"  Then they started making out and that was my cue to leave.

I grabbed Sadie, and her I started dancing.  She was having a ball, giggling and laughing, it was the best sound ever! 

"You look beautiful today Saint."  I turned around and there was Damon.  Sadie started going crazy and grabbed Damon and hugged him tight around the neck.  She must have remembered him if that were possible.

"Well hello, there pretty little lady!  I missed you too girly."  Josh came up then and tried to grab Sadie off of Damon.

"I'm sorry, I didn't know that she would remember you and I don't know how I'm going to get her to let you go now!"  Damon didn't even care.
