Unexpected Reunion

Time to Tell the Truth

   "Shane, you made it!"  I wrapped my arms around him to hug him hoping that would calm him down some, but he was really tense.  After I backed up Shane crossed his arms again.

"Did I interrupt something here?"  Damon then crossed his arms and started to say something.

"Well actually---" I interrupted Damon before he could say something to make the situation worse.

"No, you didn't interrupt anything! I'm glad you're here, I didn't think that you would make it."

After glaring at Damon for a couple more seconds Shane slowly turned his attention to me. 

"Yea, I would have got here sooner but there was traffic."  Then he stretched out his arms. "Can I please have a decent hug from my girl?"  I walked into his arms and wrapped my arms around his middle.

"Of course, you can."  I may have just imagined it, but it was like I could feel them glaring at each other over my head.  I was starting to get a little uncomfortable. Shane pulled back and looked down at me.

"I'm going to say congrats to Linda and Tyler.  After that do you want to get out of here and go back to the hotel?"  I nodded my head. 

"Sure, sounds like a plan."  After Shane walked off, I turned towards Damon.

"Saint, are you going to tell him what happened between us?"  I knew I had to, but I was not looking forward to all the hurt that it was going to cause Shane. I reluctantly nodded my head.

"Yes, I am going to tell him, just not yet. I mean he just got here I don't want to hurt him yet."  Damon sighed and placed his finger under my chin to have me look at him.

"I'm sorry that you have to go through the hurt of telling him.  But I am not sorry that this happened.  I just want you to remember, through all of this I love you. I have never stopped, nor will I ever stop loving you.  Just please remember that."  With that, he kissed the top of my head quickly and was gone.

Katie walked up to me after Damon was gone.  "So that was awkward huh?"  I turned towards her.

"Oh Katie, you have no idea.  We have many things to talk about, but I think first I am going to go back to the hotel, pass out and then sleep till noon."  She hugged me.

"Alright, well if you need me call me."

"Yea, I will." After I said goodbye to Linda and Tyler, Shane and I went back to the hotel.  He was very quiet on the way, and I knew he wasn't happy. He finally spoke after we walked through the door.

"So that was not what I expected when I got here."  I was rubbing my arms and afraid to look him in the eye.

"Yeah, I'm sorry about that.  It was just a dance though."  He looked very doubtful.

"Saint, if you saw it from my point of view, it looked way more intimate than a dance."  I faked a yawn because I just couldn't do this right now, I was too scared.

"I'm sorry, do you think we could just go to bed and talk tomorrow?"  Shane wrapped his arms around me and kissed me on the lips.

"Bed sounds like a really good idea."  I gently pushed him back and looked up at him.

"I mean go to bed to sleep."  He started kissing my neck.

"Are you sure just to sleep?"  I knew that I couldn't sleep with Shane again until he knew about Damon and me. That would be messed up, so I knew that I needed to convince him just to sleep.

"Yes, wedding planning and then actually having the whole wedding has made me exhausted.  Maybe we can just cuddle tonight?" Shane sighed and his arms dropped.
