I have to admit I had no idea what exactly Damon could have for a surprise. I guess I would find out soon enough. Everybody stepped out so I could get dressed.  After I was dressed my phone rang.

"Hello." It was Shane. I didn't think that I would hear his voice anymore.

"Oh Saint, I just heard what happened.  Please tell me you are ok!  I am sorry for everything that I said."  I didn't know what to say.  I honestly wasn't sure what exactly to say, but he didn't give me a chance because he kept going.

"Listen, I am going to come down there.  I want us to sit down and talk and try working on us.  Please tell me that you would be ok with that?"

I don't know what is going to happen, but it would be nice to sit down and talk to Shane again.

"Yes, I would be ok with that. I'll see you when you get here."

"Ok, I love you."

"Yea, me too."

I hung up my phone and when I looked up, I saw Damon leaning against the door. I somehow got the feeling that he was the one that gave Shane a call.

"You called Shane, didn't you?  I mean I talked to Katie and asked her not to say anything to him.  So, I know it wasn't her."  He walked towards me.

"Yes, I did, I thought that he should know.  I know he would want to be here for you. I mean wouldn't he be worried when you didn't check in."

I shook my head. "Probably not, I mean we kind of broke up."

He placed his hand on my shoulder. "Saint, I'm so sorry.  I know that is my fault."  I shrugged.

"It was both of us, Damon.  So, stop taking the blame for stuff that isn't your fault. And thank you for being selfless and calling Shane.  It takes a big person to do something like that."

This time he shrugged.  "I love you and would do anything for you. Now come on, I have that surprise for you."  I nodded my head and then Damon, Linda, and I piled into Damon's car.

After a 15-minute drive, we pulled up in front of my mom's house.  I looked over at him.

"Damon what are we doing here."  Linda got out and was staring at the house with tears in her eyes. She was probably remembering my mom.  Damon climbed out and walked around to my side of the car. He opened the door and reached his hand out for me.

I was a little hesitant to take it, I mean of all places why bring me here?

"Damon, I don't understand why you would bring me here." He leaned down and grabbed my hand.

"Just come with me. Please trust me."  After he said that I got out and didn't let go of his hand the entire time.

We walked up to the front door and Damon pulled out a key.  "What are you doing Damon? Why do you have a key to this house?"

"Because I bought it for you."  I couldn't be hearing him right, could I?

"You did what?"

He grabbed my hand and gave me the key.  "The moment that I found out you were selling this house, I knew I was going to buy it. This house is the house you said you wanted to raise your kids in.  I know you were hurting back then but I always thought you would regret selling this house.  So now after everything, this house is yours."

I heard Linda behind me. "Oh Damon, that is the sweetest thing ever!"  I couldn't believe that he did this. I knew the tears were running down my face and I just jumped into his arms and hugged him.
