Unexpected Reunion

Our First Check Up

      I called the doctor and explained my situation.  We set up an appointment for my first checkup in three days. I couldn't believe I was going for a checkup for my baby! I tried calling Shane to see if we could talk but it went straight to voice mail. I left a message for him to please call me.

I heard something in the backyard and when I looked out the window, I got so excited I ran outside.

"Damon, are you serious? You put up the tire swing I wanted!" I jumped into his arms and just hugged him.

"Thank you so much."  He put me down and grabbed the rope.

"Well come on, give it a spin. Just be careful please."  I put my legs through, and Damon gave me a little push. I started laughing, this was the best idea ever!

After I got off, I hugged Damon again. "I can't believe you remembered, I appreciate it."

He kissed the top of my head. "Now that we are having a baby. I knew that you would want this to push our little one."  I pulled back and looked at him.

"Damon, you are awfully sure that this baby is yours. I don't want you to get hurt if it turns out it's not."  

He placed his hand on my stomach while looking into my eyes. "This baby, which is a boy, by the way, is mine.  I feel it deep down." I placed my hand over his that rested on my stomach.

"A boy huh? You know it could be a girl?" Damon shook his head.

"Nope, that's my boy in there."  I have to admit a little boy that looked like Damon running around would be adorable. I started smiling, I couldn't help it.

"See that smile shows that you believe me."  He then leaned down and kissed me.  I wrapped my arms around him, and we just made out under the tree until I lost track of time.

When we went back into the house Damon asked me something. "Have you talked to Shane?  I mean is he moving down here with you." 

I shook my head. "No, I think that it is officially over between Shane and me.  Even if this baby did turn out to be his I don't know if we will be together. I know that all this time I spend with you probably isn't going to help the situation with Shane though. " 

"I am sorry." I crossed my arms and shrugged.

"No need to say sorry.  I brought this on myself. Shane is a great guy, but I guess he wasn't the one like I thought."  Damon shrugged and got a smug smile.

"Don't you dare say something cocky. I will smack you!"  He raised his hands in surrender.

"I wasn't, ok I was, but I won't now!"  

"So, listen Damon, I have a question for you.  Do you think that maybe you would want to go to the doctor with me in 3 days? It's my first checkup and I figured I would ask you if you wanted to go."

The way his eyes lit up gave me the answer I knew he was going to give. "Are you freaking serious?  I would love to go to the doctor with you."  He then grabbed me in a huge hug and his excitement was contagious and I started laughing along with him. I tapped his shoulder.

"Alright put me down or I'm going to vomit all over you!"  He set me down and kneeled in front of me to talk to my stomach.

"Hey, little one.  This is your daddy."  I didn't bother arguing with him and he continued. "I just wanted to say hi and can't wait to hear everything about you in three days!"  He looked up at me and I just had to kiss him.  He stood up and I felt his tongue against my lip, and we got more and more into it.  Then we went upstairs and made love.
