"Does this mean you're going to talk with Damon now?" Katie asked me.

I nodded my head. "Yes, just not yet. I mean I know that he says he's going to be fine if this baby isn't his, but I think that I'm going to wait and make sure he is telling the truth." Linda nodded her head.

"That makes sense. I think he means it though. The boy is still as head over heels as he was before."

Katie stood up and walked over to the fireplace. "So, I found out some interesting news before I came for the baby shower." She turned around and swung out her arms. "I am pregnant, again!"

Linda and I rushed up to her and wrapped her in a hug. "Wow Katie, congratulations." I pulled back from her. "This is a good thing, right?" She nodded her head.

"Yes, it's a good thing, it's a shock, but a good thing. Josh is a little freaked, but I made a proposal, and he liked my argument. We are going to be moving back up here!"

Linda beat me to Katie to hug her and we all just laughed and hugged.  All of us were going to be together again! I told them about the letter my mom left along with her recipes, and we shared some tears and laughs while talking about my mom. I couldn't wait to make these recipes for my baby!

It's been a week and a half, and everything was moving. I started working and it was keeping me pretty busy. When I arrived home I checked the mailbox like I do every day and the envelope I was waiting for was in it. I couldn't believe it, by the end of the day I would have the answer I was looking for.

I knew that I could call my friends and they would be here for me, but I think there was one person that I want to read this with.

I knocked on the door and waited. Sharon opened the door. "Saint, hey you, what brings you here?"

I held up the envelope. "I have a favor to ask of you." She moved to the side and asked me to come in. I came here because Sharon was the closest person I had to a mother, and I wanted her with me.

After I walked past her, she said we could go sit in the living room. When we sat down, I told her why I was there.

"I just got the paternity results.  I was going to read them with Katie and Linda, but then I decided that I wanted to read them with you."

She placed her hand on my knee. "I am honored that you would want to read them with me. Whenever you are ready, I will be here." I nodded my head.

"I'm a little nervous, do you think that you could read them for me? If not, I understand I will suck it up."

She shook her head and held out her hand. "If you want me to read them for you I will.  I will do whatever it takes to make it easier for you."  I handed her the envelope.

"Thank you I appreciate it."  I watched her as she ripped open the envelope and read the results. It felt like it was taking her forever when it was only a few seconds. I think I was starting to sweat a little bit.

She placed her hand on her chest and tears started filling her eyes. Then she looked up at me.

"I'm going to be a grandmother!" Then she reached over and hugged me.

"Oh Saint, thank you so much for this gift!"  I hugged her back and felt a huge weight lifted off my shoulders. It was official, Damon and I were going to have a baby!

I stayed with Sharon for a little bit and we just hung out and talked and then I called Damon and asked him to meet me at my house.

He was there in less than 20 minutes. I opened the door.

"What did you do Damon, speed over?" He shrugged his shoulders.

"Hey, you called and asked me to come, and I wasn't wasting any time getting here."
