Unexpected Reunion

Forever After

         I was in the kitchen and Damon came in. "Hey, I have something I have to do. I will only be a few hours. Afterward, maybe we go do something together. We need to get out and about some before our son is born."

I nodded my head. "Ok, sounds like a plan."  He leaned in over the counter and I leaned in and kissed him. After he left, I finished the dishes and then didn't know what I should do. I decided to go sit on the tire swing for a little bit. 

As I was swinging, I couldn't believe how much has happened in such a short time. I think my life started going in the direction it ended up in on the first day of senior year. That was the day I found out about Damon coming back into my life, and I was anything but happy. 

We have been through so much, the good and the bad. Now here we are, having a baby boy. Maybe sometime down the road, we can even get married. I would love to be married to Damon.

"Saint, oh Saint, come out, come out, wherever you are!"  Linda was yelling through the house.

I got off the swing. "I'm out here!" The sliding glass door opened, and Katie and Linda walked outside to join me. And then I saw someone that made me super excited.

"Aunt Saint!" Sadie ran up to me and I kneeled and wrapped my arms around her.

"Hi, my sweet Sadie girl! What brings you by today?"

"Can I swing?" I walked her over to the tire swing while she got on and I started pushing her. Katie pushed Sadie from the other side while Linda sat on the grass next to us.

"So Saint, we have come to get you for a girl's day. Get you all pampered." I took a deep breath.

"I don't know, I mean I was going to meet up with Damon later."

Linda threw some grass at me. "Oh, you have the rest of your life to hang out with Damon. Today is a day for us girls! Tell her Sadie, we need to have a girl's day!"

"Girl's day Aunt Saint!" Then Sadie went back to laughing while swinging.

"Well, how can I say no to my little Sadie? Let me go get dressed." I ran into the house and took a quick shower and did my hair. I walked out into my bedroom and there was an outfit laying on the bed. There was a note that said 'Wear this outfit!'

I put it on and made my way downstairs. "So guys, what is with the new outfit?"

Linda shrugged while Katie answered. "We just thought it was a pretty outfit and we were right you look amazing!"

We all piled into the car and instead of a spa like I was told, we pulled up to a beautiful garden. 

I got out and noticed nobody else got out with me. I turned around. "How come you guys aren't getting out?"

Linda poked her head up front. "We are going to go to park the car. You just follow that path there until you get to the end, and we will meet you there." Then she grabbed the door and closed it and they pulled away.  I turned and saw the path that she pointed at. I guess I would go down there and wait. Although I found this all a little weird. I walked along the path and noticed that the flowers were all the same, blue roses, my favorite. 

I kept following the path, I couldn't believe there were this many blue roses! When I got to the end what I saw completely took my breath away. Damon was standing in a circle of blue rose petals in a tux, and he looked so handsome. I walked up to him and looked up into his eyes.

"Damon, this is amazing, how did you ever pull this off?" He shrugged his shoulders.

"I have my ways. You look beautiful by the way."
