I woke up. Still on the cold floor in the hallway. Slowly, I hoisted myself up and walked upstairs. The night had already fallen. I was out for a couple of hours. I reached for my head while walking upstairs. I am going to be even sorer tomorrow morning. I laid down and fell into a restless slumber. I was so anxious about what Mr. Cooper would do to me. He can't make money out of me anymore. I am an adult. He only spends money on me to keep me alive. All I could think of is that he's going to murder me eventually if he has had enough.
The following morning, I was indeed sore. All my bones hurt from being kicked and beaten up the previous evening. 'Hey! mute girl?' I opened one eye to look at Eden. 'Please, get out of my room,' she snapped. It's not her room, but I didn't want any trouble either. Somehow, she managed to get on Mr. Cooper's good side despite her age. She's just like me, an adult. Why would Cooper stick around her so much? Or at least, like her enough to be kind?
I left the orphanage and sat down on the brick wall like I do nearly every day. I stared at the road until I heard someone behind me. I slid off the wall and turned. 'You're sitting here every single day, huh?' It's the guy from the Lamborghini. I looked down at the ground again. 'You look... beaten up.' I perked my head up. 'Come.' He gestured to me to follow him. He opened the front door and stepped inside. 'Come on in,' he invited. I hesitated for a moment. Am I going to enter a strangers house?
Fear rose. It's not what I wanted to feel, but I did. 'It's okay, come on.' He stepped back, and I slowly stepped inside while he shut the door. His house looked outstanding. The inside was even more impressive than the outside.
For a guy, he had made it cozy and welcoming. He gestured to me to sit down. 'Starving?' He asked. Without looking at him, I noded. He disappeared in the kitchen, and I had a better look around. He returned 10 minutes later with some food and soda. He sat down further away from me and watched me eat. The silence was awkward, but I somehow also liked it. Just listening to the sounds, the wind slamming against the windows, and soft zooming the fridge. 'I am Sunstreaker,' he introduced halfway through my breakfast. I didn't respond or lookup.
((Sunstreaker's P.O.V))
The human female hadn't said a single word since I first met her. Is she mute? Like Bumblebee, or doesn't she want to talk? Honestly, I took her inside to kill her, but I now doubted my decision. I never questioned killing someone. She's just so anxious, and that makes her an easy target. I know she's abused. As she finished her meal, she placed the plate on the coffee table and avoided looking at my face at all cost. She was avoiding looking at me in general. She wouldn't let me near her or touch her. She already carried so much pain. I don't think I can cause her any more pain.
She got up and just left. Not saying goodbye or thank you. She just walked through the door and disappeared. 'Alright...' I looked through the window. She had returned to the brick wall, staring at the road and passing cars. It's a bit of a challenge to win her trust. Assumed, I wanted that, of course. She doesn't want help. Thus why put effort into it? I sighed softly and headed upstairs to the draw.
The next day, I walked up to her again. 'You want food?' She slid off the wall without looking at me. Like yesterday, as soon as she finished eating, she left. I am not the most social person at the base. I am a psychopath, a serial killer, but she had something that refused me to kill her. She's not scared of me, but she's afraid of everything in general. How long would she have been abused? All her life?
On the fourth day, I decided to talk and see how she would react. 'Are you mute, or don't you like to talk?' I asked. I still didn't know her name or where she whence. I moved here not too long ago. Everything in this neighborhood is kind of new to me. The female shrugged without looking up. 'You don't necessarily have to leave when you finish eating,' I said. She slowly sat back down again. 'Are you hurt?'
She glanced at my arm but shrugged again. I got up and, so did she, backing off. 'I just want to have a look at your arm,' I said. She walked off. It's not going to work. I had hoped she would let me have a look. The girl doesn't trust me adequately for that.
I looked out of the window. The female had left the neighborhood. Where did she whence? The question kept floating through my mind until the phone rang. 'Sunstreaker, can you come to the base?' Optimus asked. 'Yeah, whatever...' I disconnected the call left. On my way, I saw the female walking in the opposite direction of where I had to go. Towards the old building little further away. Is that where she lives? In that old and disgusting home?
A frown spread over my face. I have never been in that neighborhood before. One because why would I? and two, it's not the safest neighborhood, and I don't want gangs to surround my alt-mode. If I kill one more human, Optimus is going to murder me. I sighed and sped up. I will figure out later what is going on there.
I arrived at the base and transformed. 'Took you long enough.' I ignored Ironhide's comment. 'Prime wants to talk to you. He's in the Autobot hanger,' Ironhide said. Without replying, I walked off. I am already annoyed and the main reason I have my own place, far away from humans and fellow Autobots. 'Sunstreaker, glad you came,' Optimus said as he spotted me. 'Yeah, what's going on? I bet you didn't ask me for a tea party' I said sarcastically. 'True. I wanted to inform you that we are going on a mission. I want you to stay here in Washington DC,' he said. I narrowed my optics. 'I am your only front liner right now. Why would you leave me behind?' I snapped.
'Just in case...' he said. 'Just in case what? Do you really think the Decepticons are going to attack the base? No! You don't want me to go because the fleshbags told you so!' I spat. 'Sunstreaker.' he raised his servo to silence me. 'People question your methods,' he said honestly. 'I am your best front liner! I fight to serve you... I am here because of the war. Not to rust away somewhere. I am not going to stay here either and watch everyone go into battle. I am not a sparkling and I am aware that the fleshbags are giving you negative advice. You never questioned me and I have saved your life more than once... don't forget that,' I snapped. 'Sunstreaker... you are my best front liner. The humans are only worried–' I cut him off. 'It's always about the humans... you care more about the humans than about your own Autobots. We both know that we can not win this war with being nice. The Decepticons fear me... that's what we need to defeat them. I have killed more Decepticons than you can count. I have done all the dirty jobs, just to retrieve information because no one else can do what I do. Well, fine... if you don't want me to join on your stupid missions but don't excpect me to come and safe your life or torture anyone... maybe you should ask the fleshbags to do it because apprently, you love them,' I spat before turning around.
'What humans did to you was wrong.'
I halted. 'I am sorry that it happened to you and I know that's the main reason why you hate humans so much,' he said. I snorted and turned around. 'If it was up to me... humans would be dead already. The only reason I haven't done that yet is because of you. 'Humans are bad. They are seeking power, they do everything for money. I was sold to many labs for millions like an animal. I don't let people treat me that way... I will never serve humans. If they are in my way, I will murder them without thinking twice. You have no idea what I have been through and I am not going to share it either. Don't contact me to talk nonsses because we both know you care more about the humans than me.'
'That's not true.' I waved my servo and turned around again. 'I do care about you and I do need you, okay? The humans are afraid of you, just like the Decepticons,' he said. 'My own team is afraid of me or did you really think I hadn't noticed it? Maybe you should pay a little bit more attention to your team and see how they react on me. Even if I am having a good day, no one wants me around... they tell me to piss of. I am glad I don't live at this damn base anymore... I can't stand anyone,' I snapped before turning around. 'Goodluck with your stupid mission. Don't call me if it goes wrong because I will not come to save anyone, especially not the humans,' I sulked before I left the hanger and base.
