'How is she keeping up?'

My brother sat up while his eyes lit up, Whenever the femme was involved, he would change. He's in love and it's not hard to tell. I sat down on the edge of his medical bed and flashed him a weak smile. 'Don't worry, Sunny. The femme is fine. I didn't came here to talk about that. I am here to talk about you,' I said. He snorted and slumped back down, sighing softly. 'What?' Sunny shook his head. 'Nothing, I just–... I can't wait to see her again,' he muttered. I chuckled. 'She's a human, are you sure you're okay?' I teased and playfully nudged him. 'I don't ever wanna lose her, Sideswipe. Take a good care of my girl.'

'Of course. Do you really think I am just allowing her to wander around on her own after what happened?' I mocked. Sunstreaker shrugged. A smile crept up on his face. That doesn't happen often either. Last time I saw this genuine smile was far before the war. Kinda made me jealous. I have never been able to make Sunstreaker smile like this and I tried. Whatever technique she used, it worked and I am glad he's happy. 'You'd like to see her?' Sunstreaker shook his head rapidly. 'Absolutely not. If someone sees us together, we will be in a lot of trouble. No, I won't put her through that,' he stated. 'I think she would like to see you...'

Sunstreaker shook his head again. 'Listen, Sunstreaker... Skyla told me about the bond,' I began. 'Yup, we will bond and be together forever,' he stated. 'I don't approve it.' He blinked. He was trying to process what I just said. 'Excuse me?!' I sucked in a breaht. 'You are putting her through a high risk of dying. She will be in so much pain. If you love her, go ask her to marry you,' I said. 'No. That's not the same and you know it. She will age and die. If we bond, the Energon will prevent her from aging. We can be forever and be happy,' he snapped. 'You are living in a dream, Sunstreaker. It's crazy and you know it. You can't keep this a secret forever.'

My brother got angrier with the minute. 'I don't need your fragging approval for this, Sideswipe. It's my primus damn life and I will bond with her,' he snapped. 'If you do, I will tell everyone the truth.' My brother huffed. 'Get out!' He pointed at the doorway. 'No, we are going to discuss this, Sunstreaker. You are acting irresponsible. You said you wanted to protect her, and make sure she's okay but if you go through with this plan, you will harm her.' Sunstreaker glared daggers. 'it's my life! I don't need you for everything and I certainly don't need your approval,' he snarled. 'Actually, you do. We share a bond too. You need my Energon too. I don't agree with this, just you know.'

'You are jealous! Because I found her and you didn't,' he snapped. 'No, I am not jealous. Just preventing her from dying. If you form a danger to her, I will tell Prime about it. This isn't a dream, Sunstreaker. The hard reality is that nobody will like it that you are around a human 24/7 and they will take her away from you. I want to help you with this but I have my limits. You can't ask me to go through with it,' I added. Sunstreaker snorted. 'You are a jerk, Sideswipe. Sometimes I wish we weren't twins and I could do whatever I wanna do. I always need to think about you too and I am done with it.'

As much as his words hurt me, I ignored. It's not worth it to argue about it. 'Well, this is my opinion and you can like it or not, but I won't change. You will not risk her life over a stupid bond. If you want to marry her, go ahead but keep in mind that everyone will know the truth. Sunstreaker was hurt too and I get it. He finally found someone he can love and who loves him back but some things aren't possible. 'You never told Skyla how extremely painful it will be for her and that's not fair. Selfish even. You do know it.'

'Go away.'

Sunstreaker pointed at the door. I backed off and left. Sunstreaker needed some time to think and process this. He will come around eventually. I guess they say; 'Love makes blind'  but in his case, he doesn't even think about the damn consequences and they say I am reckless...

((Skyla's P.O.V))

I was upset. Sideswipe thinks he's protecting me. It's not fair. I wanted to bond with Sunstreaker and now Sideswipe doesn't allow it. I grunted and sat down on a bench, thinking about his words again. It kept me awake the entire night. I wish I could turn back the clock. I miss the way how it used to be.

I jolted up as someone called my name. 'Jeez, I have been calling you three times.' Sideswipe smiled. 'Sorry...' I mumbled. 'What's going on?' I shrugged and forced a smile on my face. 'Are you sure you're okay?' I nodded. He didn't seem to believe me but I didn't want to make a fuzz about it either. 'Sunstreaker is doing great. He's getting back to his old self,' Sideswipe said. I nodded. 'That's great...' I muttered. 'Is this about the bond?' he asked. 'I want it and so does Sunstreaker.'

'You don't know the risks and horrible pain. It's not something you can stop. When the process starts, you can't undo it. I can't allow it and I told you why. Sunstreaker never even should've suggested it in the first place. Way too dangerous for you,' he stated. Bullshit. I still felt like he's jealous or something. I will talk about it with Sunny later, when.I get the change.
