Skyla felt a bit down. My brother was gone for four days and we hadn't heard of him anymore. I guess she's worried. 'Hey, Skyla?' She perked her head up. 'There's a party tonight, you'd like to come and meet some people?' I asked. 'A party?' she asked confused. 'Yeah, at the base,' I said. 'Sunstreaker forbid me to go to the base,' I said. 'Yeah, but he's not here, isn't he?' I asked. 'Yeah but... it sounds like a bad idea,' I said. 'No, you'll be fine. They don't know you live here, they think you are one of the girls I found on the streets,' I said. She bit her lip. 'You'd wanted to meet the team, isn' t it?' I asked. 'Yeah, but...' she fiddled with her fingers. 'I don't talk to strangers,' she added quietly. I shrugged, 'come on.'

'What about Eden?' I asked. 'She's not at the base tonight,' I said. She sighed and considered her options. 'This is not what Sunstreaker would've wanted,' she said. I shrugged, 'let's proof him wrong,' I said. With hesitation, she gave and that night, she looked absolutely beautiful. A red cocktail dress, her curled, make-up. She's the most beautiful girl I have ever seen. 'You'll be fine.' She gave a small nod and hopped in my alt-mode. 'You are not going to leave my side, right?' she asked. 'No, don't worry about it,' I assured her and rolled into the base. I offered her my hand and took her with me. Everyone looked at her when I walked into the hanger. She's definitely an eye catcher. She didn't feel comfortable at all, but she trusted me.

'Let's introduce you to Prime, shall we?' I whispered near her ear. 'Then you can judge for yourself if he would take you away from my brother,' I said. She gave a small nod and followed me. People stepped aside to let pass. 'And who did you find this time?' Ironhide mocked. 'I am Skyla, nice to meet you.' Skyla signed. 'Nice to meet you too... I am Optimus, this is Prowl, Ironhide, Jazz and Ratchet,' he said. She looked at the people before looking back. 'How did you two meet?' Jazz questioned curiously.

'On the streets,' I replied. It wasn't a complete lie, except that my brother found her on the streets. Jolt looked at her with envy. 'Yeah? Really?' he snapped. Prime looked at Jolt. The medic turned around and stormed off. Skyla glanced at me but I ignored what just happened. I could tell she wasn't really comfortable anymore.

She looked around and something seemed to have caught her eyes. I followed her gaze. Apparently, my brother had returned and figured out about this party and Skyla being her. 'Why don't you have a chat with them, I'll be right back. I am going to stop a bomb from exploding,' I said quietly in her head before walking upstairs. 'Come with me, now.'

Sunstreaker was furious. I slammed him into a room and shut the door. 'I gave you own dragging job! How could you!' He shouted. 'They don't know who she is, Sunstreaker. They don't know you're dating her but it's important they have seen her face. Sunstreaker tried to punch me. 'Trust me!' I snapped, slamming him against the wall. 'You need to believe in me! Please.' He started fighting until Ratchet burst in. 'What the hell ia going on! Drop him now!' He hissed at Sunstreaker. I sank on my knees when Sunny let go of my throat. 'Talk!'

Ratchet slammed the door shut. 'I am gone for a couple of days and Sideswipe is messing up! Skyla shouldn't be here!' My eyes turned red. 'This is the safest place she can be right now. Are you really that delusional? Your 'human' is danger and you're denying it! You keep thinking about yourself and what is the best for you. Leaving her alone all day at your home? We both know that one day Cooper will break in and take her. What are you afraid off?!'

'I am not doing it for myself, Ratchet. I am trying to protect her from everyone because everyone is the same. She's not just my 'human', she's my girlfriend. How many girls did I dare, Ratchet? How many actually accepted me and did try to escape or set me up? They all used me. It was a game for them to see when I would start killing girls because they thought it would be funny to push me. Do you have any idea how frustrating that was? I hate femmes more than anything else in this universe but Skyla is different. I saved her, I fed her and I protected her. Without me, she would've been dead already. She's not just a human, she truly makes me happy and I won't let anyone take that from me again. If they find out about the truth, they'll tell her how horrible I am. They will tell her stories and I don't want her to hear them. The thought of losing her kills me.'

Ratchet sighed. 'Prime wouldn't take her away from you. He would only be concerned about the entire situation. You need to work things out with Prime in order to fix all of this. You need to accept that humans are our allies. Our home is destroyed, this is our new home. We need to learn how to live with the humans and adjust to their habits, it's the only way. I am sorry what happened to you but blaming your brother and beating him up won't help anything. If she loves you, she'll stay with you forever. You need to trust her, and I know it's hard for you.'

I snorted and looked away. 'They will pick on her for being my mate. I can't put her through that,' I sulked. As soon as this is all over, you can take her home with you and go on with your life. For now, the save at place for her is here. They will never believe she's your mate. They will leave her alone. They might think she's dating Sideswipe,' he said. I looked at my brother. 'You need to stop being so possessive and trust Skyla and your brother a little bit more.' I sighed and shook my head. 'Take her to her room. She has had enough,' I ordered Sideswipe. With a small hesitating nod, he left. 'You're not going to lose her,' he said. I shook my head, 'I am going to lose her. They will never approve it. Let me make something clear, Ratchet. If I see anyone flirting with her or trying to seduce her. They're dead. She's mine. I found her, I protected her, I fed her, I took care of her and now she's mine. I am even willing to kill Optimus for her, keep that in your damn mind!' I snarled before storming off.
