One breathless and adrenaline fuelled gallop up into the town of Rhodes, Arthur arrived with your much fatigued body slumped in the saddle.

The long evening drawl of Orange had far faded into the onyx black of night, the occasional hint of blue where the moon's milky light dared to touch.

Not that Arthur cared much for the clear and cool night, as he carried your shivering and barely conscious limp body into the Doctor's office.

The practicing doctor took one look at you, your sallow features and very lethargic ways, and assured Arthur he could rush you out of the reception and straight into the practicing room.

"What happened, can I ask, sir?" The doctor busied, as Arthur laid you down on the medical bed, standing by awkwardly as he thought up a convincing lie.

"We got jumped by some of them Lemoyne Raider boys." Arthur lied, hoping the doctor didn't pay too much attention to the littering array of weapons tucked in all kinds of holsters upon his own person.

"Is she gonna be ok?" Arthur asked, watching as the doctor snipped at your jeans around your wounded leg area, allowing him better access to tend to the wound with a cloth drenched in some kind of disinfectant liquid which stank something potent.

"Hopefully so, if we can stop anymore blood loss and fend off an infection."

Arthur nodded sombrely, feeling incredibly useless as he could do was stand by and look.

"Anything I can do to help- I - I will." He stuttered, frightening himself with the endless worries about you.

Glancing slowly upwards from your leg, Arthur looked at your abdominal area - his mind drifting to the baby that grew there. His mind once again started the torturous ride - about Isaac and Eliza. He could feel his chest tightening considerably with all sorts of anxious feelings at recalling his pain.

How he did not wish to repeat that.

"Doctor, uhm," Arthur fumbled, rubbing the back of his neck, "she's uh- we're expecting." The outlaw stated rather bashfully. For a man that didn't bat an eyelid robbing a bank clerk with unadulterated threads - for some reason this confession was rather daunting.

"Is the baby gonna be ok?" Arthur followed up, looking past the marginally judgmental look on the doctors face. It seemed, as always, a couple that deferred from the usual boundaries of societal expectation around marriage and relationships had to be some big scandal. The doctor however, kept it professional for the sake of the current situation.

Arthur could imagine the doctor had somewhat gathered anyway that you weren't just some usual yokel couple.

"That depends, sir." The practitioner stated, getting up to grab some more things as he planned to suture your wound. "This sounds like it has been a stressful event. Her body might not respond well to it and there could be a chance she could miscarry."
