01. My Scent

"Oh, what are you doing here?"

Jimin lifted his head towards the voice to meet the view of a very familiar figure of a beta he knew since forever. He had his hands crossed over his chest as he stared narrow eyed at the said Omega.

"Do I need permission to come here now? I thought there was no such rule.", Jimin chuckled softly as he kept up with his work without lifting his head from the handy wood basket he had kept in front of him.

"It's not like that. You know what I mean.", Beta scoffed.

"I know Hyung. Don't worry. Look, I found some fresh calendulas and salvias. You needed them the other day when that Lee Omega asked you. I will tell you the spot so you can go back and pick them whenever needed. For now, I just bought few.", Jimin kept rambling while arranging the bright orange coloured flowers neatly on the inner wooden shelves where the other herbs were kept in order.

Sungwoon kept staring as Jimin wasn't really paying any attention to him and kept doing work even when he never asked him to. He knew very well why was it.

"You know you shouldn't be here, right? If someone catches you here, it won't end good for both of us.", Sungwoon softly said as he approached the Omega. Jimin stopped doing whatever he was doing.

"I know... But I can't always stay inside. It becomes suffocating. Besides I came here because I need the salve. I'm running short. It might take only 2-3 days to become empty.", Jimin provided.

"Oh.", Sungwoon shortly replied before going to the cupboard and opening a hidden shelf inside it. If you see without looking into it much you would never find that hidden shelf. Sungwoon used that shelf especially to keep the special salve he used to make only for Jimin.

He pulled out a little clay jar which had his lead closed with a cloth. He handed it to Jimin and Jimin wasted no time to hide it under his robe safely inside a leather pouch.

"But I don't understand this...", Jimin spoke up while securing the pouch containing clay jar.

"What you don't understand?"

"This. Why do I even need this salve? I'm going to get married soon. Why would I need to hide my scent from my soon to be mate?"

Sungwoon eyed him thoroughly. It wasn't something knew that Jimin asked. But everytime he couldn't come up with some new answer.

"I know your confusion. But don't question it. It was moon goddess's will. If she desires, your scent will be revealed. Until then it shouldn't be revealed to anyone.

Not even to your mate...."
